(Y/N POV)

He had explained everything to me.

I was, indeed, in the past, and all that I thought was a dream was actually reality. I didn't know how I had survived, nor how I was no longer my twenty-six-year-old self again, as Hugh had recounted to me. I was the thirteen-year-old trembling on the battlefield all over again, and I could hardly remember any of it.

Hugh had witnessed the transformation for his self, taking my unconscious yet breathing body into his care. He had apparently travelled from America to visit his family, staying as a residence in London. I had been in a coma for two months, making a miraculous survival. He had fed me, clothed me and nursed me back to consciousness. I had almost been assumed dead, but he did not lose hope.

What Hugh also informed me was that my sister must have been here, too.

I'd explained everything to him, from the day Emily was born to the day I was presented with a ring, figuring that it must have all been truth. Something had altered my memory, as if this ring had not existed in my state of mind. I couldn't understand why. In any case, he supposedly already knew about mine and Emily's biological relation, stating that Alexander had already informed him of us... No... In my dream, Alexander seemed like a good guy.

He was the good guy, wasn't he?

"...Hugh?" I questioned him. "Do you know where my sister is?" If this had happened to me, then it had surely happened to Emily. If not, then my little sister would now be twelve years older than me.
"I do not." he replied simply. "And there is nothing from your... your dream that you do remember?"
"No... Not why I am here, in London." I admitted. I clasped my hands together and gazed at the floor. "It was like one minute, I was winning a war and the next, I was crushed by a horse."

I thought over it. The musical was the only relevant context that I had, with the additional few historical facts. The song immediately following Cabinet Battle #1 was Take A Break, which I believed took place in 1791. Within that song, Angelica was travelling from London to Alexander's and Eliza's residence in New York. The year was 1790, as Hugh had recounted to me. Therefore, Angelica was bound to still live here. The question was, did we stay with her?

"Angelica Schuyler." I stated, glancing at him. "She lives here, in London... If my facts are correct..."
"Angelica Schuyler?" Hugh questioned. "Yes, I've heard of the girl... Never have I held the pleasure of meeting her, however. She is your unc- Mr Hamilton's sister-in-law, is she not?"
"Yes." I confirmed.

Hugh exhaled slowly, scrunching his face up in deep thought. "I am unsure how we will be able to get you there, Miss L/N. If you thought that you were famous before for Charlie Miller, you have much more to learn." He handed me over a newspaper that had been folded up on the small table in front of us. I hadn't payed much mind to it, only that its presence in the room existed alongside ours.

I rolled it out, scanning the front page for the headline. Hugh pointed it out for me. "There. 'The Bewitched Child Who Ruined London Night'. You were the front page for many weeks."
"Bewitched? But I didn't do anyth-!"
"That's what many believe that you are, Miss L/N. A witch. That you appeared with the intent of creating catastrophe, to commit treason against God and His Royal Highness."
"But I-!" I clenched my hands over the corners of the page. There was even an illustration of my uniformed body laying unconscious upon the ground. "Why was I sent back?!"
"Only God himself knows, Miss L/N." Hugh sighed. "He chose to spare your life."

"...What if he didn't spare my sister?" I questioned. I declined the will to admit it, but tears began to blur my vision.
He comforted my back with his hand. "Your sister will be fine. We just need to find her." Standing, he carefully took the paper from me and hid it upon a shelf. "Miss Schuyler's residence shall be where we first embark."

Hugh was not the man that my ever-growing memories reminded him to be. He now bared wrinkles on almost every segment of his withered face, hunched over as he walked. In this age, I was only thankful that he was still on two feet, able to see, hear and speak. With that, I worried for his ability to travel in search for my sister. I did not wish to shatter his fragile frame that was bound to shatter at any moment within the upcoming years. Alas, if my sister had too reversed in age with all of this recounted as a mere dream, I had to be there for her.

"Do you know how to get there?" I asked.
"No," he admitted, "but I am sure that I could ask folk around."
"Surely if the Schuylers are favoured in New York then they must be well-liked here."
Hugh sniggered. "London is a great city, Miss L/N. Even the most noble of men are seen as any ordinary commoner. For those like me, we are futile and vain. People will take advantage of you, Miss, and there is little that I can do to enforce authority against it. We shall have to keep you hole-and-corner."

I raised my eyebrows. "What do you expect that I do?" I enquired.

Hugh smirked.

"What you were always best at doing."

If my calculations are correct then wowzers, we are half of the way to 100K on Act 1.

That's a lot.

Now first of all, I would just like to say thank you ever so much. This is extraordinary.

Second of all, I hope that you are all staying safe.

And third of all, since I am extremely unoriginal and find it difficult to come up with decent ideas, I'm going to be doing one of these ask-the-characters things again!

Weyhey!

So without further ado, ask away!

But oh you thought it ended there, did you?

Then you thought wrong, my friend.

At an eventual point within this story, I will be introducing two new characters in close relation to one another.

These characters, who I cannot name, will become very important factors that will shape the story entirely.

I shall allow you to ask them questions, under the conditions that they do not spoil or reveal anything about them and their identity.

Ask away.
