After the day of your friendship, you and Jean have been best friends. You weren't dating yet (well duh I'm not going that far yet), you were just...friends.

Today...was the day before the prom. You wanted to ask Jean out. When was recess time, Jean ran to you and asked

"(name), do you have great advice in asking a girl out?"

'Wait...what? You're asking another girl out aren't you, well f*ck that...' You thought to yourself. You asked him first,

"Who are you asking out anyways...?" You muttered

"That pretty girl, Mikasa Ackerman...I don't really have the strength to ask her out. Think it's cause she's really strong and she might beat me up, she's a new student along with my friend, Eren. They're siblings, and she's really strong, so I need you to give me the courage to ask her out"

You really wanted to punch that girl, you just smiled "Just ask her, when she beats you up, I'll be there to stop it. Don't be scared I'm always there and I'll always be, okay?"

He grinned "Thank you, (name). I'll go ask her now" he ran to Mikasa's table. You walked back to the classroom alone. You were completely silent, your head was down and you walked slowly. You decided to just lean on the door and wait for the key monitor to come.

Jean would always get rejected by Mikasa, either he gets slapped or she just politely says no. He never gave up though, he would always find a way. Which means...that day, he didn't spend time with you...

Every dismissal time, you and Jean usually walk together to your house and study there. But today, you walked alone. You saw Jean trying to ask Mikasa out again, she rejected and ran away. You walked away without even saying hi, he noticed you and tried chasing you. You ran away, trying not to let him call you. But he did, he shouted your name

"(name)! Where are you going?"

You stopped, panting "what do you need me for, Jean?"

"Do you have any flowers Mikasa might like?"

You groaned, and threw a bouquet of roses "here, I was gonna give this to you, but just give it away if you want..."

"Hey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine...leave me alone..."

"I don't think you're okay...(name)..."

Your glared at him, feeling incredibly pissed "good job Sherlock..."

"What's your problem, anyway?"

"Look, you spent all your time chasing the girl you'll never get. I'm sorry if this is offensive, but you're never gonna get her. If she keeps rejecting you, then stop. Don't keep trying to get her to your side,you're gonna end up failing...sorry, all this because I wanted to ask you out instead..."

You turned your back at him and walked away, you didn't look back until you didn't see anyone behind. And that broke your friendship...
