She Doesn't See Me

She doesn't see me

And how I tried to be Spring

But all she wanted was Summer

I can't give her the missed childhood she longs for

So, she searched elsewhere for the pieces of her puzzle

I read them, I can put them together

But I'm faulty and missing pieces too

So, she won't let me piece her back together

I hope one day she realizes

You can't get to Summer without Spring

And you can't get an amateur to do an expert's job

She who hasn't missed a piece of the puzzle herself

Will not know how to put you back together

But the time you understand I will have my pieces together

And Summer will have arrived
