Always in my Heart

18 months we have lived here now, that's a year and half of being in the same place. We have never stayed this long before, it's always been 6 months somewhere and then pack up and leave. I mean I can't say I'm surprised that we've been here this long because dad loves his job and they love him there too apparently. I had bad opinions about being here, well being at the school but I'm absolutely loving it so far!
I've made such a lovely friendship group who all completely understand me and I understand them. We have 5 months left before everyone in my year graduates and leaves to go and start the rest of their lives out in the big wide world.

"Miss Maxwell? Did you hear what I just said?"

I break out of my daydream and thoughts to turn to look at my teacher,

"Sorry sir, what was it you said?"

"I want you to tutor Mr Bradley."

"Oka-," I don't think I quite heard him right, there's only one Mr Bradley in this school, "wait you want me to tutor Josh?"

My teacher looks straight at me and nods his head. This can't be happening, Josh Bradley is the jock of the school, the most popular guy who has all the girls at his feet.

"He's been falling behind in class and," my teacher sighs before he looks back up at me, "if Mr Bradley doesn't get back up to where he needs to be then unfortunately he will not graduate with the rest of you"

I don't get why he's asking me to tutor him when there's plenty of other capable intelligent students who could, students who actually like Josh.

"Does it have to be that tutors him?"

"You're the brightest in the year and we feel like you will be able to bring back up to where he needs to be. You may leave now"

Despite wanting to question it and make him see that there is definitely someone better than me who could tutor Josh, I get up and leave anyway but before I end up actually walking out the door, my teacher calls out and says,

"Oh and Miss Maxwell, the tutoring will be outside of school so make sure you plan it with Mr Bradley."

I don't even bother turning around to look him because it's the end of school and I have to be getting home. It's bad enough that I have to put up with Josh during school but now outside of school as well!? I'd much rather be spending my time with Penny or Skye or Kevin. In the short time that I've here those 3 people have always been there for me and we all bonded straight away. Kevin was the first person i spoke to when i was trying to find my way to the classroom on my very first day at this school. He instantly knew i was lost and came up to me to ask whether i needed help and on that day we became friends, not only with Kevin but he introduced me to his 2 friends, Penny and Skye. I'm so glad that my family and i haven't moved because i would absolutely devastated to leave those 3 people behind.

Lost in my thoughts i become aware of my surroundings and realise that i'm nearly home, i guess it helps that i only live 5 minutes away from the school which always comes in handy if i ever wake up late. I've become good at getting to school in 2 minutes if i run extremely fast but that doesn't give you a very good look so it doesn't happen often, okay maybe it does happen often, like every week often!

Hello, this is my first ever story that i will publishing! It won't be very good as i'm not the best at story writing but there's nothing wrong with trying?! I've decided to do short chapters but i'll be uploading frequently :)

Below is who i'm basing Josh on however just imagine him with blue eyes instead on brown! For people who don't know who this is, it is Hero Fiennes-Tiffin who plays Hardin Scott in the movie After which is one of my favourite films and books!
