Craig and I woke up hours later and took a shower together.

After we finished and got ready, we headed back over to my mom to visit my mom.

She was completely silent now.

We known she wasn't gonna be with us much longer.

She couldn't open her eyes and look at us. Couldn't speak. Couldn't move. Nothing.

I slowly walked to her and sat beside her.

"I love y-you." I told her as I held her hand tightly.

Craig came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders as tears slipped down my face. I stood up and hugged him while we looked down at my mom.

"I don't know how much time I h-have left with her." I said quietly to Craig while he rubbed my head.

"I know babe. Just spend as much time with her as much as you can." Craig said right before he pressed a kiss against my forehead.

I nodded my head, but then stopped when something hit me. "What i-if everything changes?" I looked up at him.

"Everything is gonna change. But you need to tell yourself everything is gonna be okay."

But will it though..?

People didn't lie when they said life is short.

One minute your having with fun times with your loved ones.

Next minute your grieving right beside their bed.

"I'm really s-scared Craig." I tried not the break down.

"I know. We'll get through this together."

"You p-promise?"

"I promise." He kissed me once then hugged me tightly from behind.

I sighed and closed my eyes as I laid the back of my head against him.
