"Guys!" Jin yelled, running to the group of boys who were sitting in the courtyard. It had been about a week since the 7 were questioned.
The police hadn't spoken much to the boys, occasionally calling Jin to give him any new information they had. It was now the boys' lunch break and Jin had gotten another call, though this one would be more important than the others.
"What's up, Hyung?" Jungkook questioned, playing with Taehyung's hair. They two had gotten immensely closer, despite already being so close.
Taehyung would cling to Jungkook any time they were together. The group of teenagers found it quite cute.
"The police just called, they wanted to let us know Jaehyun confessed to everything and will be sent to jail for a while. They didn't say how long, I assume they are going to decide when he goes to court, but the good news is he will be gone," Jin spoke as he sat down between Namjoon and Yoongi.
While the 7 males were ecstatic, they didn't yell and cheer. They simply smiled and sighed in relief.
"So, it's over?" Hoseok questioned with a hopeful tone. Jin looked at the younger boy before answering."As far as we know, once he's locked up, yes," The oldest nodded.
Tae sighed softly, visibly relaxing in Jungkook's embrace, the younger boy back hugging him like he always does. JungKook smiled a little and nuzzled his face in Taehyung's fluffy hair.
"Do we have to go to the court too?" Jimin asked, fairly quietly.
"Well, most likely yes. You and Taehyung would have to give statements and I'm sure the rest of us will too," Namjoon spoke up.
JungKook immediately felt Taehyung tense up again. He frowned and grabbed Taehyung's hands and held them in his own as a way to try and bring assurance to his boyfriend.
Just the thought of being in the same room as Jaehyun again, even if he would be in cuffs, made him feel sick and scared. He didn't want to have another panic attack, he's had enough in the past few years and it was just getting better.
He didn't have one for about 8 months, that is until Jaehyun moved again and came back to their school.
Jin noticed Taehyung tense up, quickly trying to reassure the boy. "Taehyung, if you don't want to go you don't have to. We can talk to someone and tell them you don't want to testify."
"Why should we testify if he already admitted to everything?" Jimin grumbled, becoming slightly annoyed. Many of the boys expected Yoongi to try and comfort his boyfriend, but he was staring off into space, not paying much attention to the current conversation.
"Yoongi? Jagiya? You ok?" Jimin shook Yoongi's shoulder to get his attention, the older male quickly snapping out of his thoughts and looking at Jimin with wide eyes.
"What?" He looked around at the 6 clearly concerned teenagers.
"You zoned out and we were worried," Jimin said softly and took Yoongi's large hand in his much smaller one.
"Oh... Sorry," He tried to smile apologetically, but his smile quickly faded.
"Are you ok, Hyung?" Jungkook asked. Yoongi only nodded and the boys decided not to press the subject any longer.
Sadly, the lunch hour ended quickly and the boys scrambled off to their last few classes before heading home for the day. On the drive home, Yoongi was silent while Jimin was looking out the window, deeply concerned for his lover.
He didn't want to bother Yoongi by questioning him, they had enough of that the past week. Jimin had numerous questions he wanted to ask Yoongi but refrained.
He had noticed how Yoongi shut down the topic of his parents and didn't want to leave. Ever since then the older boy had become much quieter and often didn't engage in conversations between any of the boys. It worried all of them, but no one questioned his behavior.
When they arrived back at the Park residence, both males got out silently and went inside. Once the front door was shut, Jimin broke the silence.
"Yoongi," Jimin began, watching as Yoongi walked to the living room. "I don't want to bother you, but you're worrying me, the guys. I just didn't want to bring anything up in case I bothered you..." Jimin trailed off as he sat down, avoiding Yoongi's gaze.
"Um, anyway, what's wrong? You've been so quiet and zoning out ever since I brought up the thought of you seeing your parents... is there something you aren't telling me?"
Yoongi was slowly getting angry, not at Jimin, but at really anything else. Yes there was something he wasn't telling Jimin and he wasn't planning on telling him any time soon, but if Jimin kept pushing it Yoongi would snap.
Which did happen not long after. Yoongi couldn't take it anymore, all the questions Jimin was asking on top of the stress Yoongi was already under, he snapped.
"Shut up!" Jimin flinched at the sudden outburst.
"You wanna know the real reason why I've been so quiet and spacey lately?! Fine! I'll tell you! I was trying to come up with a way to tell you how I have a shitty home life and I didn't want to go home! Hell, it isn't even my home anymore! I consider this place more of a home than my own," Yoongi hadn't realized he was crying until he felt a tear drop on his hand."And knowing how much you wanted me to see my parents...you were so happy about me spending time with my family, but you're my family, Jimin. You're my boyfriend and your dad has been more of a father to me in the past few months than mine ever was in 18 years! I love it here, but if you want me to go home then I will," Yoongi stood up, harshly wiping his tears and walking up to Jimin's room. Jimin froze and stood up, immediately running after Yoongi.
"N-No! Yoongi, I-I just thought it would be nice to spend time with your family, but if you don't want to please don't go," Jimin cries as he watches Yoongi pack his things. The older male didn't say anything and kept packing.
Jimin stood there helplessly watching. He didn't want Yoongi to leave, why would he? He didn't know about Yoongi's home life, but if he did he would never suggest leaving.
Yoongi stormed past the shorter boy and made his way downstairs. When he got to the front door, he turned around and looked Jimin in the eye.
"You wanted me to leave, so I'll leave," With that, he slammed the door shut and drove home.
