yerim just stuck her tongue out to the guy that called her. even in her state of nervousness, yerim managed a smile for jeon jungkook.
why is kim yerim feeling nervous? because tonight is the night that she will confess to no other than her best friend, jeon jungkook.
she has thought of this for a while, and even though she is scared of what might happen after, she will be brave and accept everything.
yeri got inside the car and jungkook drove off to their usual place.
"what's gotten into you? you rarely treat me food." jeon jungkook asked with a chuckle while glancing for a while at the girl on his passenger seat. the said girl squirmed at the sudden question, knowing that the answer involved her confessing to him later.
"just wanted to treat my best friend, and i have something important to tell you too."
yeri answered and gave a small smile to the driving man beside her. jungkook also gave her a small smile and replied.
"well, i guess i also have something important to say to you."
and the car went into a peaceful silence.
except for yeri's heartbeat which was madly beating for jeon jungkook.

"i'm going to order everything since you're the one paying."
jeon jungkook said to the blond girl as they stepped outside of the car and went inside the restaurant.
"stop being a pig, jeon jungkook."
yerim teased the boy, to which he replied,
"you love this pig anyway."
well jungkook, you're not wrong.
after they finished their meal, yeri felt the nervousness coming back.
oh my god, this is it.
"hey what's that important thing you were going to tell me?"
deep breaths kim yerim, deep breaths.
ok. here goes.
"..."
ok. i can't do it.
"you said you also have something important to say. you go first."
jungkook went to the bathroom to wash his hands first while yeri collected her thoughts. when jungkook came back, she didn't catch on to what he was saying because of her nervousness to confess.
but, oh how she wished she just didn't hear it at all.
"i said, i'm going to ask eunha tomorrow to be my girlfriend."
and kim yerim's world stopped.
"o-oh, that's great kookie! i hope she says yes."
outside, she smiles brightly. a best friend who is proud and supportive. inside, she's a broken-hearted woman, weeping her heart out for a man that can't be hers.
"so, what's yours?" he asked, ready to hear what yeri wanted to say.
"jungkook..." she started saying,
and all of her plans of confessing fades.
what good will it bring anyway? i already lost the battle.
"...i'm going out of the country for a while. i want to travel."
while yerim feels pain in her heart, she doesn't know that the man in front of her feels fear.
fear of being apart with the woman he's in love with.
