Gelo pov
It's been a couple of days and hanging wit jaden was the best. We were really alike and she was really sweet. I could still tell there was something bothering her. It would be little things. Like me asking her if she's ok to me playfully snatching her phone; as soon as I snatch it she'd stop and give me a scared look. I was concerned as to what was wrong with her but I didn't wanna invade her like that. I knew she wasn't ready to talk about it yet and I wasn't going to rush her. So, I kept to myself; I felt it was best for her plus we just met, we got time.
I was making my way to her dorm to go hangout since it was the weekend. I didn't exactly tell her but she'd know when I would call her to come open the door. As I got out my car and was about to make my way in, something caught my eye. A figure creeping in the distance. It wasn't dark but it was approaching it. I tried to look closely but before I could, the door to the dorm opened and two girls came out. I looked back at where I saw them and they were gone. I sighed and quickly caught the door walking inside. I walked up to her dorm and softly knocked. It took her a little while but she opened the door.
I became concerned almost immediately. Her eyes were red, puffy, and watery and her demeanor seemed on edge.
"You okay?" I couldn't hold back my concern for her.
"I-...I don't know anymore gelo. He won't leave me alone and I'm scared and-" she wept as she talked and I couldn't stand to see it so I brought her in for a hug , hushing and gently rocking her.
"It's okay jay, I'm here" I pulled away to wipe her tears as she looked down. I could tell she was embarrassed but there was nothing to be embarrassed about.
Once jay calmed down a bit, I walked into the dorm and closed the door behind me. She sat down on her bed and took a couple deep breaths. I sat beside her but I also kept my distance.
"I'm sorry gelo" she said
"Don't be" I could see the embarrassment in her bloodshot eyes and it hurt to see her like this.
"He just... he can't leave me alone. I've tried everything. My family and I have moved far far away from where I met him and he still won't stop. What's so special about me? There are other women out there that are way better-"
"Woah woah, cmon jay. You know you're the best" she sighed and gave me that look and I laughed a little.
"We'll... still. I just wish he would leave me alone" it was quiet for a while before I got the courage to speak.
"Who is he?" I hesitantly asked
"He..." she hesitated. I was about to tell her that it was okay and I didn't need to know now but she spoke up.
"he's my ex. He's been obsessed with me since we dated. He's controlling, abusive, and swears I'm his no matter what. Everywhere I go, he follows. No matter what. He usually waits to reveal himself but he wants me to leave you alone"
"Have you ever tried telling the police?"
"I've put two different restraining orders on him. He finds ways to break them without breaking the law" she looked down and fiddled with the loose string on her sheets.
"If he keeps this up, I might have to leave the school-"
"What? No I-... I don't think you should. You shouldn't let him control your life jay" she looked up at me
"Well what can I do gelo?" She sounded irritated but upset.
"I-... I don't know but we'll figure it out together. We have a basketball game coming soon so take your mind off of that and focus on what's next" she shook her head and looked down
"We can work through this Jaden... I promise I won't leave your side" I grabbed her hand and she looked up.
I was afraid that she'd tell me to stop since it was a vulnerable time for her. Instead she scooter over and hugged me and I held her.
"Thank you" she sounded tired and I didn't want to be in her space.
We pulled away and I got, heading to the door.
"W-where are you going?" She asked, now being the one to sound concerned. I turned around and looked at her.
"Back to my apartment. Thought you sounded overdue for some rest" she looked down and it was quiet for awhile.
"Please stay. Just for tonight" she looked back up with those glossy eyes and I knew I couldn't say no. Even if it was breaking the rules here.
"You sure? I don't want your roommate to feel uncomfortable or get in trouble by the hall director" I told her
"Nicole wont be here tonight, she's been visiting family for a week now. Think someone died? Anyway, who cares about the hall director. You can just sneak out before 6 and not get caught" she told me and I nodded.
I walked over to her bed and she laid down, and got comfy while I took my shoes off. I laid down beside her and held her.
"Thank you gelo" she sniffled and looked down. I lifted her chin up gently with my finger.
"Of course. I don't want you to think that I'm trying to take advantage of you though" she nodded and snuggled up close to me.
Before I knew it, I heard her cute soft snores. I looked at her face, moving hair out the way to look at her.
"Oh jay... what am I gonna do with you" I said softly and held her tightly. Soon, I could feel sleep creeping up on me and I closed my eyes and drifted off peacefully.

I woke up at the perfect time. It was 4:56 am. I was still a little tired but I knew I had to go. I gently moved from under jay and off of the bed. I put my shoes on and adjusted myself before making my way to the door but I stopped. I looked back and scolded myself. This wasn't a one night stand gelo, have some respect. I quietly walked over and bent down looking at her. I leaned over, moved hair out of the way, and kissed her forehead. I stood up and looked at her one last time before quietly making my way out the door, trying not to wake her.
I pulled out my phone, sending her a text for when she woke up. As I was walking, I wasn't paying attention, especially since I didn't expect anyone to be awake now. Before I knew it, I bumped into someone. It was harsh and my phone almost fell out my hands.
"Oh sorry man my bad" I said to a man looking like a janitor. He looked a little young to be working here as one.
He was lightskin with hazel brown eyes and short curls on his head. He looked at me with hatred and I almost felt bad but I was confused. I didn't mean to bump into him and he didn't know me? What was his problem?
"Yea watch where you going pretty boy" he mean mugged me before slowly walking away.
I brushed off that bad feeling and sighed. I pulled my phone out and finished the texts to jay before making my way to the exit. Once I got there and walked out, I made my way to my car. I got inside and started it up, waiting for it to heat up a little before pulling off.
