Summary: Shayne and the reader have their first dance at their wedding and Y/N thinks back about all the memories Shayne and she shared leading up to the wedding.

As soon as the daddy-daughter dance was done, your father handed you off to your husband, Shayne. "Take care of her," your father whispered to Shayne. You chuckled knowing how protective your father was. You wanted to be surprised by the first dance song so you had no idea what Shayne had picked out. You soon recognised the beginning of the song.

"My funny valentine

I know what's on your mind

I know that you cry sometimes

Ooh, oh, oh."

The first time you two went on a date that song played. He was the first guy you had gone out with since you broke up with your toxic ex. So you had your guard up, as did Shayne since he also had gone through a similar situation.

The song broke through the silence of the first date, it gave you something to talk about. Your thoughts still about your first few years dating. Shayne hummed along to the song as you rested your head on his chest. You were husband and wife officially. No more waiting or worrying.

"Baby, it's all in your head.

Do you remember what I said?

When we sat there on your bed

You thought back to the first time you two opened up about your exes. "I promise I'm not going to hurt you, and I won't rush into anything. Okay?" Shayne looked at you and you knew he meant it. You nodded and told him that you promised to take it slow with things. You felt safe with him and it was a better feeling. It was like a weight was lifted off your back when you told him and he listened.

You both worked on helping each other out with things and it was great. You got a great feeling when you were with him and you hoped Shayne felt the same way. He did and he stayed by your side.

Sure, sometimes it was hard to be a couple. You fought sometimes, when Shayne raised his voice at you once, you burst into tears. It broke his heart and he did everything he could to make it up to you. You didn't need presents or flowers, you just wanted him to be consistent. He was and he did occasionally surprise you with little gifts here and there. It meant more knowing he was there.

You were an acting coach busy with new actors, while he was busy with Smosh, acting, and finishing up college. You two somehow made time for each other. Sometimes all it was just a late night you two spent relaxing. Sometimes you went all out, all that mattered was the love was alive.

One night you got scared because of Twitter rumors and you curled up in your bed and cried. Shayne found you and he laid down next to you and told you, "I'm never gonna say goodbye." You turned your head and looked at him, "You promise?" your voice thick with tears. He nodded as you shifted your body close to him.

Those nights where he held you and reminded you that you were loved even though part of you still didn't believe it.

"Oh, baby, if you knew

You chuckled thinking of all the nights you argued, the sleepless nights, and the perfect ones. You would do anything for him and he would do anything for you, you were his forever Valentine. "I love you Mrs. Topp," Shayne smiled. "I love you more Mr. Topp," you chuckled. "Not possible." he smirked.

You were lucky you found someone who proved how much he loved you the nights you felt like shit. He was lucky he found you because you loved him no matter what he did. No matter how loud and annoying he got, he was yours and you were his. You were so excited to spend the rest of your life with him.
