"DEAN! What are you doing!?" Sam asked in a panic as he saw his brother about to walk into a random rift in the world that Jack accidentally opened. After Jack died and they brought him back, his powers came back all at once and caused this rift to appear. That also resulted in Jack and Castiel disappearing.
"Sam, what if this is another alternate universe like the full on Redawn with angels one? We have to check it out to make sure another psycho archangel doesn't come to our dimension. I can't let that happen again." Dean said while looking at Sam with a serious look.
Sam sighed and contemplated this idea in his head. Dean had a point, but what if they get stuck there or worse?
"Fine. Only if I can come with you." Sam said finally.
Dean shook his head. "No, I should go in there alone. I cant risk-"
"No! I'm not just going to let you go to a random dimension all alone while I'm on the sidelines, Dean! It's us against the world, right?" Sam said with finality. "Yeah, it is." Dean sighed. "You're not going to take no for answer are you, Sammy?"
Sam nodded. "Yup."
Dean let out an stifled snicker. "Alright. Let's go, together."
Sam nodded and walked over next to Dean. He stared at the portal in awe.
"Ready, Sammy?"
Sam nodded. "Yup. Are you ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be."
Dean and Sam stepped into the portal and they appeared in an odd universe. Luckily, it looked pretty normal, not like a litter box war zone or woods full of monsters.
Sam and Dean looked around.
There were futuristic looking buildings surrounding them.
"This looks like Back To The Future type shit." Dean said with a slight smirk.
"Uh huh." Sam said breathlessly, in amazement at the futuristic world they were in.
A woman who seemed to be a robot bumped into Sam. "Sorry!" She said quickly.
"Hm? Oh, its fine-" Sam looked at her in confusion but also fascination. "Wow..."
The robotic woman looked at him, seeming weirded out. "Again, sorry about that." She said before walking off. As she walked off Dean looked at her walk. He smirked and enjoyed the view. "That is one hot robot lady."
Sam face palmed and looked over at Dean. "That's all you have to say? We're in the future....I think."
"Yeah, no shit Sammy." Dean said with a snicker.
Sam rolled his eyes. "Ok, but what now? Is the portal still open?"
Dean looked back over at where they had come from and the portal was nowhere in sight. "Nope!" Dean said in frustration.
"Great. That's just great. What are we supposed to do now??" Sam asked.
"Check out the place, I guess. Cas will find a way to get us back.....hopefully." Dean said, feeling unsure of the words he spoke.
"Yeah, hopefully. If not, hopefully this future world has what we need to get back."
Dean nodded. "Now, let's go to a bar or something. I need some alcohol in my system." Dean said while walking towards the nearest bar. Sam sighed and reluctantly followed Dean into the bar.

. . .

"Dean?! Sam!?" Castiel asked as he walked into the bunker in a panic. He was extremely worried something had happened to Sam and Dean when Jack and him teleported in the middle of the woods in a random part of Kansas.
Jack looked around in confusion. "Where could they have gone?"
"I'm not sure." Castiel said as he looked around. He noticed a small rift and made his way over to it. Before he could even investigate it, it closed suddenly. Jack looked down. "It's all my fault...They could be hurt or worst all because of me.."
Castiel looked over at Jack sympathetically. "Jack, it's not your fault. No one expected your powers to come back this quickly and suddenly. You couldn't have done anything."
Jack shrugged slightly and kept looking down.
Castiel sighed and looked back at where the portal used to be.
"I'll call Rowena and we'll get Sam and Dean back, I promise."
Jack looked up and nodded slightly. "Ok..."

. . .

Dean took a shot. "At least bars haven't changed all that much in the future."
Sam snickered. "Yeah, unless you count the robot bartenders as a non-future type thing."
Dean snickered. "Touche Sammy, touche."
A familiar man wearing a trench coat walked into the bar. He looked like he'd been through the ringer and had a scruffy beard. He sat down at the bar. "Some whiskey for me." He told the robotic bartender.
Dean looked over. "Cas??"
The man looked over and was indeed Castiel, but not their Castiel.
"Dean..?" Future Castiel asked while looking at him in disbelief. "It can't be..."
"Uhhh. I should probably be concerned about that reaction but, yeah, it's me." Dean said with a snicker.
Castiel just stared at Dean in disbelief.
"Hey Cas, do you know what year it is here?" Sam asked.
Castiel looked at Sam in even more shock. "Sam..? You're so young..."
"Uh, yeah, sure I am. Anyways, what year is it?"
"Oh, right. It's 2062." Castiel said.
Dean and Sam looked at each other in disbelief.
"2062?! Shit." Dean said with wide eyes.
Castiel nodded. "Yes." He thought for a second. "Where are you from? The past? Or are you shapeshifters?"
"We're from another dimension and in our dimension it's 2020." Sam said.
"Oh....That explains it."
"Uh huh. Uhm, Cas, why were you so surprised to see me. I mean, I get I'm like a young version of your Dean. But, am I dead or something?" Dean asked, really curious on what happened to his future self.
Castiel frowned and looked down. "Yes. He died years ago...."
Sam frowned. "How did he die..?"
Dean looked really confused and concerned. "Yeah, what happened?"
Castiel sighed and took a deep breath. "Lucifer came back....and made sure to torture Dean before he..." Castiel closed his eyes, feeling a wave of grief go over him. "Before he ripped Dean to pieces.....He locked Dean's soul in the cage....We couldn't bring him back."
Dean and Sam gaped in shock.
"That's....that's horrible..." Sam said while looking down. He couldn't imagine what he would do if that happened to his brother.
Dean shook his head, trying to forget what he just learned. "Uhm....What about Sam? How is he?"
Castiel looked up slightly. "He never got over Dean's death....But, he's ok. He has a family now."
"Oh....That's good." Dean said, feeling a bit of relief go over him. He was glad this future Sam was happy.
Sam looked down and back up. "Anyways, Cas, do you think you could help us get back to our dimension?"
Future Castiel nodded. "Of course."
"Awesome, let's get to that." Dean said while taking one last shot.
Future Castiel and Sam got up along with Dean and they left the bar.

. . .

"Annnd there!" Rowena tossed a splash of blood into the potion she was making. "I just need the grace of an archangel and we can open the portal!"
Castiel squinted. "Rowena, all the archangels are dead or trapped away."
"I know that. But, that's the last thing I need for the potion! You know this!"
Castiel sighed and tried to think of a way to fix this.
"I think I could help." A familiar person said.
Castiel looked over in confusion and his eyes widened.
"Gabriel??"
