Asahi's pov

The four of us third years watched quietly from outside until Coach Ukai came over and said, "Why are the four of you just waiting outside?" Then he looked inside and realized why.

He spoke a little too loudly though and caught (y/n)'s attention who was in the middle of serving. (y/n) followed through with her serve then excused herself to head to the door. Sugawara and Daichi quickly got up from the ground the moment (y/n) began to approach the door. "Hey, you must be Coach Ukai it's nice to meet you," she said reaching out her hand to shake.

"The pleasure is mine," he said shaking the girl's hand," I take it that you'll be spending today with Karasuno?"

"If you don't mind I'd like to stay," she replied.

"Of course you can."

Tsukishima came in and acknowledged (y/n) and us third years, then made his way to Yamaguchi. (y/n) then approached us and said, "Your coach seems nice. He said I could hangout here for today."

"That's great," Suga said as he nervously smiled at the girl. She nodded back.

"Hey (y/n), I have a question," I said she looked at me and raised her brows, "What year are you?"

"Well if I actually attended high school I'd be a first year...Why do you ask?"

"If you were in high school?" Daichi said not sure what she meant by that.

"Oh, well...I'm home schooled, I take online courses." She chuckled nervously, "School and me just don't really get along."

'That's weird. I think she'd be one of those people who everyone loves and wants to hang around.'

Daichi and Suga walked off into the equipment room but (y/n) stayed by me. "Have you ever thought of cutting your hair," (y/n) asked. "I mean it's pretty long, I'm not saying that it doesn't look nice long but you know just try out a new look."

"I've never thought of it really."

"Of course you don't have to cut it as short as Tanaka's." The two of us laughed. "Well if there's anything I can do let me know but I'll probably just watch from the side."

"There is one thing..." (y/n) looked excited. 'She is too cute.' "Maybe you could help me with my jump serve." She nodded and said we could work on it on a break. After talking with her I made my way towards Daichi and Suga. The rest of the team was slowly trickling into the gym.

"So Asahi it looks like someone has taken interest in a particular girl by the name of (y/n)." Daichi smirked at me.

Sugawara punched him in the shoulder, "At least Asahi isn't stuck in some love triangle. What is a certain person going to think when she hears that you've been all over (y/n)."

I said, "I'm just making a new friend that's all. I'll see where it goes."

Sugawara laughed and mimicked me, "I'll see where it goes."
