"Sir!! Jimin's at the front of the station!! I repeat, Jimin's at the front of the station!!" A petty officer reported to Namjoon, making him immediately straighten up while tightening his face.
"Take him to the interrogation room." The officer nods, leaving Namjoon with his thoughts as he prepares to face Jimin.
•••
I stand there, seeing the officers panic at the sight of me. An officer rushed towards me, gun out.
"Put your hands up where I can see-"
"Oh shut up!" I exclaim. This was annoying. Do these stupid petty officers think they can talk to me any kind of way?
"I'm still your superior so you better back down and let go to the interrogation room myself." I respond. He looks taken aback, but puts down his weapon, leaving me be, as I walk into the station.
•••
"I didn't kill them." Is the first thing I say when my boss Namjoon sits down in front of me.
"I know." He says.
"But I still have to interrogate you because I have no evidence that you didn't."
I nod, understanding."Where were you the night of the killing?"
"I was out for dinner with an old friend I was catching up with, I then got home, walked in, and saw the body.I fell back, which resulted in me getting blood on my hands and clothes.
My friend was still there, so out of fear and shock, me and him drove off." I say, not wanting to mention him anymore.Namjoon narrowed his eyes.
"Who's this friend?" He says.
"His name's Tuan Mark, he came from America, but yesterday was his last day, so he got dinner with me, but had to catch his flight this morning, and that's when I decided to come here."Namjoon nods, seeming satisfied.
"I'll check the cameras outside your house. Do you have any inside?"
"I do, but the person may or may not have destroyed them, so don't count on seeing anything from them." I say.Looking pleased, Namjoon stands up.
"You'll stay here until you're clear. While you're at it try not to do anything that'll make you more suspicious when you're out."
I nod.He then leaves, making me rest my head in my hands.
"That was way too close."
I very softly whisper, knowing that the wire tapes won't be able to catch that sentence.•••
They keep me in a cell at the station. I'm clear, but they had to remove the body from my house before I returned home, leaving me the only option to sleep there at the station.
"Jimin, you should take your safety more seriously. That body seemed like a warning, a warning to be careful." Namjoon said to me, eyes concerned as he tilts his head in my direction.
"I know, when I first saw it that's what I also thought." I started rethinking the disgusting sight in my home, the body-
"I also suggest you move, since whoever they are would know the location of where you live currently, or how to get in."
"But boss, if I move they'll still eventually find me, I won't be safe." I start thinking about the negative sides to moving and staying at my current house, the pros and cons.
Namjoon grabs my shoulder, and rests his hand there.
"Think about it."
Is what he says, before walking out, the rusty metal bars scrapping across the floor to keep me in for the rest of the night.I sigh, seeing as he was the only one still here, shutting the lights off, locking the station behind him.
I look at the warm blanket they gave to me and sigh.
I knew even if I tried, I wasn't getting any sleep tonight.
Not when there was someone out to get me on the loose.•••
Five hours into my detainment, my eyes started to drop.
"No...." I weakly say, feeling my body slump against the stone cold wall behind me.My eyes close slowly, catching a blurry figure standing in front of me.
I try to pry my eyes open again, but the lack of sleep made me drop out cold.•••
Who do you think the figure was?Lynn~~
