chapter 5 - hullabaloo

Lilith's POV

It was the end of the day and me and Leon just finished the last part of our routine "Leon, are you gonna wash off after or before dinner?" I asked him as he hid the cards in his pocket and turned to look at me and shrugged "not sure, I'm starving though" He said as he walked to the exit of the tent and stopped "you coming?" He asked me as I shook my head "I'm gonna wash off afterwards once I get this chair back to the prop closet" I told him as he nodded and went out

I put the chair back and was about to head out to wash off when I came across Dagger sadly sitting down with his head low "Dagger?" I called out to him as he looked up a bit and hung his head low again "oh, hi Lilith" He said sadly "what's wrong? Why is my tent-mate so sad? Who did this to you?!" I said exaggerating to make him smile but to no avail

"oh...it's just..." He trailed of sighing as I sat down beside him signalling I was listening to him "it's about Beast..." He stated "I'm in love with her and, she apparently likes someone else... I've been trying so hard to get to her heart but she just doesn't like me... It hurts me so much" He said as he started to sniff making me sad as well "awh Dagger, I'm so sorry" I said as I took him in for a hug

"I'm here, so you can cry on me if that makes you feel comfortable, I'm here for you" I told him rubbing his back as he cried out a bit "i-it just hurts so much" He said as he cried more "hey it's okay, just let it all out for me" I said as I waited for him to calm down "t-thanks Lilith" He said as he hugged back weakly making me smile "I'm here, you're gonna feel okay sooner or later" I told him smiling

Doll's POV

I was walking to the prop tent when I heard sniffling and familiar voices so I didn't go inside the tent and started to hear out their conversation "i-it just hurts so much" Dagger said crying "hey it's okay, let it all out for me" Lilith said slowly making me blush "w-what?...What in all of circus-acts is this?!" I mumbled in a panic as I listened more

"I'm here, you're gonna feel okay soon-" I heard her say making me gasp as my face turned red all over "oh my gosh!" I said running away from the tent "DAGGER AND LILITH ARE A THING!" I screamed as I came across Joker,Leon and Beast "who's a thing? For all I know we're all human here" Leon said making Joker laugh "ee's right y'know!" Joker said between laughs "come on guys, Doll has something to tell us" Beast said pointing to me

I puffed my cheeks "i-it's Dagger and Lilith! They're dating!" I told them making them gasp  "they are?!" Leon and Beast asked "but, I remember Lily was head over heels for Peter?" Beast stated as I shook my head "well I mean, she might have moved on! She's already got on with it with Dagger!" I told them making them gasp and blush a bit "Then they really are an item!" Joker said in shock "Lilith?! She took the steps already?!" Leon said joining Joker's shocked face

"Well, all we can do now is support them" Beast suggested as the boys looked at her and nodded in reply "yes that's true" I said agreeing "hey guys what's going on?" A voice said making all of us freeze "o-oh! S-speak of the devil!" I said waving awkwardly to Lilith and Dagger as they approached us "uhm, are you okay doll?" She asked me as I only nodded awkwardly "well I gotta go now!" I said taking my leave "I'M HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH BY THE WAY!" I said as I approached my tent

Lilith's POV

"Happy for the both of us?" I asked as Peter came into mind "w-what does she mean by that?" I asked as my cheeks warmed up "i-is it about p-" I was cut off by Leon "I just wanted to say something" He trailed off as me and Dagger looked at him in confusion "I'm happy with all of your decisions so, I wish good strength for you and dagger's relationship" He said making me and dagger shout in confusion

"Excuse you?!" We asked in shock "well, aren't 'ee together?" Joker asked us as me and Dagger looked at each other and back at the three, I was about to say something when they started to explain "I mean, you two clearly did 'it' just now right?" They asked us making us go red "e-eh?!" We asked again "so, that's what you meant to do ay?" A voice said from behind us making us all turn to the direction of the voice to see it was Peter on Jumbo's shoulder

"P-Peter!" I said as my cheeks grew warmer "you only wanted to defile me if you got to me, I'm right aren't I?" He said crossing his arms as he looked at me making me perk up a bit "wait... So you would give me a chance?!" I asked as I looked at him happily "you know she's got' ya there mate" Dagger said laughing making Peter realize what he said "I-I didn't say anything about that!" He said looking red making me laugh "oh my" I said "shut up!" He said still flustered

"in any case, your with dagger now so your not my problem anymore" He said as he smirked making my heart skip a beat "Jumbo, let's go" He said as Jumbo nodded and walked into the night making me snap out of my love-sick daze "wait me and dagger?" I asked as dagger looked at me with the same confused face "I'm not sure either mate" He said as he sighed

"well, we support you both anyways!" Beast said smiling brightly making me look at dagger and saw his expression turned grim 'dagger doesn't need this right now' I thought as I played along "okay, thank you guys! We'll make sure to not let your expectations down! Goodnight!" I said grabbing Dagger's hand and pulling him away from the group "L-Lilith?! Don't tell me you're believing them!" He asked as we made it to our tent

"of course I don't believe them, I love Peter and you love Beast but obviously you didn't need that scenario back there so I pulled us out, besides we're tent-mates!" I said as he smiled "thanks Lilith" He said smiling a bit "but what are we gonna do about this hullabaloo?!" He suddenly panicked making me think "well, we tried telling them but we couldn't so.." I trailed off as I remembered Peter's outburst awhile ago "we continue!" I said with determination "say what now?!" Dagger asked surprised by my words

"We keep the act up, but we'll end it when things cool off because obviously,  tomorrow will be hell for the both of us" I said sighing as Dagger just watched me explain "and besides...I wanted to see if Peter would get jealous" I said blushing as I imagined his jealous face making Dagger look at me weirdly "hey! He's cute when he's worked up!" I said blushing more "whatever, we'll see how this plays out" He said walking up to his bed "s-so, we'll do it?!" I asked with star eyes "of course, we both want the same thing, to see their jealous faces" He said smirking making me laugh "alright!"
