Chapter 3 : The next Cadaver

The next day,the entire Sawsley Bay woke up hearing the news of Mr.Trey's death. As the winters had just begun,it was very cold outside. The Inspector had to deal with a double murder case. The major suspects of both the cases were Ferris and Mrs. Lisa. Though Lisa had confessed her unconcerned attitude towards Robert, the Inspector failed to believe a woman who was tortured by her ex-husband. "Mr.Ferris Beckett, we are supposed to have you at the station for few interrogations. This is our regular protocol",told Mr.Clinton while he walked him outside.

"Mr.Trey had died due to the inhalation of a poisonous gas. He had suffocated a lot. Once the autopsy is done,we will be able to provide more information ",reported the Forensic expert Dr.Bloom. "Mrs. Coleman,what exactly had happened?" "It was around 5 in the morning. I woke up and I felt really cold with my teeth typing like a typewriter. So,I went to take a shower in our second bathroom which is right next to our kitchen. When I came at 5.45 to wake him up" she sobbed. "I'm sorry for your loss Mrs.Coleman. But did you hear anything? A window screech something like that?" "I didn't." "Well mam. The room has to be sealed till the case gets over." "I'm leaving to Berood tonight. My sister has offered me to stay there."

"Sir. The same killer. We have got the same newspaper clipping. It says 'Bank robbery-3 arrested.' We have also found one thread near his bed. It seems like a thread of a shirt. I'll send this to the textiles around. Moreover,the windows and door are perfectly locked. No furniture has been damaged."reported Mr.Clinton

"We may have to speak with the guy in the drug store."told The Inspector. "Good morning. I'm Inspector Drake Williams. You must have heard about Mr. Trey's death this morning. One of my officers saw Mr.Trey and Ferris with a pretty intense faces. Do you know something about it?"asked the Inspector. "Well sir. I've known both of them, very well. Mr. Trey was mad at Ferris. He bought medicines for his breathing troubles. He explained it to Ferris and sarcastically commented him to report that. He told that both of them were under suspicion. But Ferris remained calm sir." "Mm hm. Good. Thank you. "

The Forensic reports had come that night. " Mr. Trey had died due to the inhalation of hydrogen cyanide which is very poisonous. The time of his death was 5.30 AM. The newspaper clipping was from the same newspaper company dated on July 23 1956." "Yesterday, Mr.Trey bought the inhaler and stuff. Today he is dead. The only person to know this was Ferris. Let the thread reveal the secrets." Told the Inspector.

"Ferris. I literally ran all the way from my classes. I couldn't help myself after hearing the news. What happened at the station? Is everything fine now?" Dana asked. "Honey,everything is alright now. It was just their protocol it seems. Just forget about it. I've booked tickets for 'The spring'. It's a morning show. So go and take rest. I'll pick you up tomorrow. " told Ferris and kissed her forehead.
