The theatre was dark and muffled voices echoed in the room. Harry and Cherry sat patiently for the trailers to begin. Cherry yawned as she shoved her hand in the bucket of popcorn.
"Geez, I'm going to finish all this popcorn if the movie doesn't start," Cherry scoffed.
"It shouldn't be any longer," Harry shrugged.
A little later, a group of teens from their school piled in two rows. They we're obnoxiously loud and Cherry was clearly annoyed. Harry was starting to feel anxious. Of course he knew those kids, those we're his closest friends.
"Do you know them?" Cherry asked.
"Uh, no."
"Okay," Cherry said.
"I do, sorry."
"Okay, cool."
Harry shrugged and reclined back in his chair. He waited for Cherry to speak but she didn't let out a breath. She seemed, concealed for the fact she knew Harry's friends were here. She sat up and looked blankly at the blacked out screen.
"I ship it!" One of the girls had called out. Laughter emerged from the group of teenagers.
"No one cares!" Harry rolled his eyes.
Finally the previews appear on the giant screen. Nobody changes their positions as their eyes are fixated on the screen. Harry takes this opportunity to wrap his arm around Cherry's top-backside. Cherry goes stiff at first but later relaxes under his hold. It was a little uncomfortable because his hand tried to further extend upon her body but it awkwardly laid on her two shoulders. Not that Cherry minded because he felt so warm and fuzzy.
The movie began to start and Cherry was anxious as to what the movie was. She definitely hated horror movies, like out of her mind. Romance movies were too cliche for her. Cherry felt a pair of eyes on her. Harry stared at her with a dumb look.
"What?"
"Are you scared I picked a scary movie?" Harry smirked.
"No," Cherry immediately said, "I don't even mind if it's a scary movie."
"Oh really?" Harry scoffed.
"Yeah," Cherry rolled her eyes.
"It's a horror movie."
"Nope, I'm out," Cherry stood up instantly but Harry grabbed her wrist before she could leave.
"You're not going anywhere," Harry laughed, "you're going to watch this movie with me and enjoy it."
"I hate you," Cherry sat down with her arms crossed.
Harry showed off his teeth while Cherry had a face of fear.
-
"Great, now I won't be able to sleep," Cherry groaned.
Cherry stuck onto Harry like she was holding on for dear life.
"Geez, Cherry, you're not going to die. Let go of me please," Harry begged.
"No!" Cherry exclaimed.
Harry let out a deep sigh before continuing to walk.
"I'm also cold," Cherry shyly added.
Harry shrugged and laughed while Cherry squinted her eyes.
"But you're like a heater," Harry chuckled.
"Where did you park the car? Not far away I hope..."
"Yeah, we just have to walk a little more. But that's okay because we need to produce more heat anyways."
The dark of the night cascaded over their heads. Cherry's teeth was chattering and her body was shivering. Harry held her closer, trying to maintain his cold pain. They navigated their way to the car and finding it amongst emptiness. There were a few other cars parked along the planters but none close to theirs. As soon as they hopped in, the heater was turned on immediately.
"Take me home, Styles," Cherry pleaded.
"Sure thing, after we get something to eat."
"I can just eat at home, I don't want you to keep paying for me."
"No, Cherry, I insist on this buy. I want to take you out and that is what I'll do," Harry crossed his arms.
Cherry deeply sighed, "I'm not going to eat anyways."
"Fine, you party pooper. I'm going to just drop you off by the way, I've got to head home after."
"Why, you have more plans?" Cherry laughed.
"Yeah, I've got a date with my bed."
Cherry gasped, "A date? Wow, look at you."
Harry rolled his eyes. He started the ignition and rolled out the parking lot.
