00:11 am.

Aubrey sighed looking at the time on his phone. He couldn't sleep, he was tossing and turning on his bed.
Maybe it was because today was the big day. He was graduating from his shitty high school in a few hours. Finally.

Just as he was closing his eyes again his phone suddenly buzzed.

Robyn
Open the door

What the hell? His eyes widened as he read the message again. Then he got another one.

Robyn
I'm outside, open pleaseeee

He blinked - the messages didn't disappear so he wasn't dreaming. He replied with simple OK.

Aubrey slowly got up and made his way to the bedroom door. He stopped with his hand on the knob and looked around his room thinking if he should wear something more, he was dressed in white undershirt and black shorts. But he decided against it.

Eventually Aubrey quietly exited his bedroom without closing the door. As he was going down the steps, he nervously run his hand through his curls. There was only one more hallway that was separating him from the front door and from Robyn.

Robyn.

Divine Robyn. Beautiful. Wonderful. Selfish. And cruel Robyn.

She was the most popular girl at their school, always doing what was cool and exciting. Not like he was some geek but they didn't run in the same circles and never speak until the beginning of this year when they were paired for chemistry project.

From then on it was like some faux soap opera.

He had a crush on her. She had a crush on him. Seriously. They likeeeed  each other.

But.
Of course she had a boyfriend. An asshole who didn't respect or appreciate her.

Despite that their kinda fling happened, it included countless kisses, a few proper make out sessions, one time dry humping when they were drunk and him eating her out at some party when they were even more drunk.

And then, on her birthday Aubrey fucked up and told her that he was in love with her. What was he thinking? Was he thinking at all? He had asked himself that question several times.

Obviously, Robyn chose to stay with her boyfriend and started to distance herself from Aubrey, what soon turned into classic avoidance.

Now it was a month since they last talked and Aubrey was still trying to accept her rejection, his chest ached as he thought of it. He was truly heartbroken.

So, naturally he was very surprised that she was trying to see him again, but he didn't want to get his hopes up too high.

He was facing the door for a few seconds.

Here we go.

Aubrey turned the knob revealing the object of his affection.

Robyn smiled shyly at him as her
arms were wrapped around her middle. The night was a bit chilly and she was wearing only blue, denin shorts, pink tank top and a light, grey jacket. He would like nothing more than to envelope her in his own arms but he couldn't.
