Three

I'm scared

I'm so scared tonight
Hugging my pillow tight
Closing my eyes firmly
Shutting my ears totally.

The barkings of dogs
Made me sign of the cross
The absence of light
Unable me to fight.

Can someone accompany me
I need someone to hug me
As I shiver in fear
Wipe away my tears.

This night reminds me
That I am not special but a nobody
That no one cares if I'm feeling lonely
I'm so scared yet no one's here to secure me.
