Clumsy Day

This is the Tanjiro x Kanao one, requested by dcraus123. This one will go to the anime pace. Hope you enjoy!

It was a bright sunny day at the butterfly estate. The birds were singing,  butterflies everywhere, most importantly no demons attacks.

Kanao woke up along side her sister Aoi. They started to prepared breakfast for the others. It was just a few days Kanao fell in love and now she could decide her fate. She smiled as she thinks about Tanjiro. She didn't even realized that Aoi was calling for her the whole time.

"Hello? Kanao? You okay there?" Aoi tilt her head. "Ah yes I am okay!" Kanao hesitated. "Woah, did you just... talked without the coin?" Aoi stammered, Kanao was just smiling back then now she's a different person. Aoi shrugged it off and continued cooking. "Ara-ara, you two. Woke up early I see." Shinobu popped out of nowhere that made both of them jumped. "Ah, Kanao. I see you're deciding for yourself!" Kanao nodded. "Well, better make some good food you two!" Shinobu cheered.

Aoi's face was still shocked about what she had heard. "You don't need the coin anymore?! When did this happened? Who's the boy? Tell me!" Kanao just smiled like usual as Aoi calmed herself down. "I'll tell you later, Aoi." Kanao said.

All of the butterfly girls were having breakfast, Shinobu noticed that Kanao's face seems flushed. "Kanao." "Yes, Shinobu-sama." She calmly answered. Shinobu trying to keep her cheerful demeanor ate another bite of her food. "Do you like one of the boys from the other day?" This statement made Kanao almost chocked on her food. "You two, Aoi!" She gleefully smiled, Aoi was hesitant to answer that question. Kiyo started pay attention to it and told her sisters about it. "I personally think it's Tanjiro-kun!" Naho said that made Kanao's face deep crimson. "And I think Aoi-san likes that boar guy!" Sumi followed. Both of the butterfly girls faces were deep red. The others chuckled as they heard someone said "Hello? Is anyone home?" It was the voice of none other than Murat- Tanjiro of course.

Kanao flushed face became even more red and flustered. Shinobu peered over the hallway to see the three boys from the other day. "Welcome, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke!" She greeted them. "Hello, I'm back my girls!" Zenitsu hopped around. "Wait, why are you guys here? You don't have any injuries." Aoi stated. "Ah, yeah. We were close by and Inosuke got hungry and we decided to visit you all. Also we got the day off..." Tanjiro stuttered. Kanao looked at Tanjiro with a pink tint all over her cheeks. "Hey, Kanao! I see you're following your heart by now!" Tanjiro cheerfully grinned, Kanao blushed even more than before and accidentally slipped and broke her plate. Aoi and Tanjiro came to her to see if she was fine. "Kanao, you okay?" Aoi worried, she nodded. Why is she became clumsy now? Is it misfortune? Perhaps.

"I-I'm fine, thank you." Kanao said. And she walked to the kitchen to clean the other plates. "What happened?" Tanjiro asked, Aoi gave him an 'I don't know' look. "But I'm proud of her for following her heart." Tanjiro smiled as he could hear Kanao dropped one of the plates.

Today was unusual for Kanao. She frequently tripped or slipped or dropped something every time she was near Tanjiro. It was a clumsy day for her.

Shinobu was sitting in her room, as she heard her door knocked. "Uh... excuse me, Shinobu-sama. Are you there?" It was a familiar that Shinobu knows for a long time, it was obviously Kanao. "C'mon in, Kanao!" She gestured her to come in. Kanao opened the door and sat on Shinobu's bed.

"What's the problem, Kanao?" Shinobu asked sweetly, Kanao hesitated and trying to get the word out of her mouth. "Uh... w-why am I-I always c-clumsy a-around now?" She stuttered her question.

Shinobu remembered back when her sister's alive. She remembered she said. "Shinobu, if I don't make it. I just wanna make sure that if Kanao does fall in love. Tell her, everything that she does for him, it's because of love." The old hot headed Shinobu looked in her sister's eyes. "Alright. But you better be alive, Nee-san." Kanae chuckled and walked off to her demise.
