Nothing Can Stop Us || A Mavid One Shot

Maia, David and Cierra arrived at their suite in a hotel room in New York City. They flew in from LA earlier that day. They were all tired from the flight but wanted to have the best time since they were only here until tomorrow. ABC Family was having a special skating party at the Rockefeller centre and the three were invited. Maia was the most excited out of the three because she had only skated once in her life before. With this, she was also slightly nervous. Not only about skating, but about spending an entire night in the same room as David.

                Maia used the key to open the door to their room and walked in. “It’s so beautiful!” she exclaimed in her perfect Australian accent. She dragged her suitcase across the room and propped it against one of the beds before walking to the window to admire the view. They had an incredible view of central park looking towards the upper west side. New York City in winter was truly beautiful thing. The snow was falling perfectly from the sky and coating the ground. Maia turned her head to look towards the city and smiled. She had been to NYC before, but she could never get over how beautiful it is.

                “So, what are we doing for sleeping arrangements?” David asked as he placed his suitcase on the ground and tossed his backpack onto a table.

                “We can deal with that later. Let’s just have fun for a while before sleeping!” Cierra suggested, putting her suitcase beside David’s. She could almost tell from David’s tone of voice that he wants to sleep in the same bed as Maia. She had observed from the past few weeks on set that something is growing between the two of them. She would occasionally ask Maia if she had any guys on her mind but she would always deny it and say no.

                “What do you guys want to do?” Maia asked, looking at both Cierra and David. Both of them just shrugged and looked around the room. Unexpectedly, Maia grabbed a pillow from one of the beds and started hitting David. “Pillow fight!” Cierra and Maia broke out in giggles and Cierra rushed to grab a pillow. When Cierra turned around, David was standing behind her and hit her in the stomach.

                “Hey! I’m going to get you back for that!” Cierra claimed as she rushed after David. In their small hotel room there wasn’t much room to run around, but they all made it work. They played around for about ten minutes before they were tired and out of breath. “I think I got more exercise in the past ten minutes than I’ve had this entire year,” Cierra huffed. Maia gigged and began to explore the hotel room. She found a small closet and opened it to see what was inside. She observed a few hangers and a blow dryer. She took them out and placed them on the ground.

                “What are you doing, M?” David asked, curious.

                “Just wait,” Maia laughed before climbing into the closet and sitting down. Cierra and David just laughed at Maia’s actions.

                “Typical Maia for y’all,” Cierra said. She walked over to one of the beds and sat down on it; crawling under the covers. David reached for the remote and turned on the TV. He flipped through the channels and decided to leave it on one of the various news channels. Upon watching for five minutes he heard a knock. He realized it was coming from the closet Maia was sleeping in. He laughed to himself as he got out of the bed and opened the door.

                “Yeah?” he asked.

                “Can I get a pillow please?” Maia asked with her eyes half closed.
