Son of the Moon Goddess: Spinoff To Secrets Of An Omega

Prologue

In a small home situated on the edge of an extremely powerful werewolf pack, a tiny, orphaned human boy entered the home of Alpha Rose- a young woman who had recently succeeded the title of Moon Goddess- and her mate- the son of Rose's predecessor.

Graydon had no idea how long the werewolf couple would keep him for. He had grown accustomed to the feeling of never being wanted since birth and was prepared to never be wanted for the rest of his life. However, the two seemingly friendly wolves made him feel comfortable. Maybe it was the warmth of Roses hand which gently clutched onto his and led him into the home. Maybe it was the gentle smile and slight push Deamian had given him as he hesitated at the door. Or maybe it was the fact that they were both creatures he was always told never existed. Whatever it was, it made the boy soon relax and follow them wordlessly.

"Do you have a name?" Rose asked. She had refrained from asking the boy too many questions. He was so shaken up from the past events of the day, which he had decided to keep locked in his mind, that she had decided to give him space.

The boy looked up at her, hesitated, and then spoke. "Grayson, Grayson Morningstone."

Rose smiled and Deamian did too.

"Well, Grayson, this is your home now." She said, smiling. The boy shyly returned her smile, a tiny glint in his eye. He had never really had a place to call home, and although he was still sceptical regarding the couple, he couldnt help but hold onto the hope that he would fit into this place.

"Home." He tested the word curiously.

"Yes." Demain said, making his way to Roses side and wrapping an arm around her waist. Home.

Grayson nodded, excitedly and Rose laughed at this. The boy seemed to be warming up to her, and as she stared at him, she made an oath to herself, to never allow Graysons past, or the events that had taken place that day, hinder his future like hers almost hindered her own future.

Grayson then realised something, and although hesitant to ask, blurted out the childish ideas forming in his mind.

"Do you think I could become like you?"

Rose was shocked for a moment, so was Deamian, but the two recovered.

"You mean, like a wolf? She asked."

Grayson nodded, but suddenly buried his face in his jacket as he realised what he had asked.

Rose, on the other hand, considered it for a moment and then spoke. "Okay, I'll make a deal with you."

Grayson removed his head from his jacket, astounded and confused all at once. His eyes were wide in anticipation.

"If you prove to me that you are worthy of receiving werewolf powers, then I will give them to you, and I will let you become my successor as Alpha." She said.

"Alpha?" Grayson was familiar with the term but did not understand what Rose had meant by saying that she was the alpha. He thought only males could become alphas and was quite surprised. He looked at her questioningly.

"I am the Alpha, the leader of the werewolves in this pack. If you agree to my deal, and succeed at fulfilling your end of it, I will let you become the alpha." She said.

The boy stared at her in amazement. Not only was she beautiful and powerful as he had seen earlier, but she was also an alpha.

"Do you accept?"

Grayson contemplated for a moment. He was young, but had become very intelligent and as such, he knew he needed to analyse her deal further. After weighing up the pros and cons, he nodded to himself.

"Yes."

And this is how the story of Grayson Morningstone began
