MIRA
Human... hu-man.
werewolf... were- wolf.
I kept on repeating these two words over and over and over again as I tried to process the gravity of this situation. Throughout history, human mates were unheard of- completely non-existent. Yet here I sat, on a bus, with Grayson- a boy who undoubtedly almost tried to take me right here in this bus because of some unknown, animalistic force of attraction. Oh Goddess, things were beginning to get really complicated.
I refuse to look up at him. Heck, I refused to even breathe the same air as him. Anything attached, connected or from him I wanted to seriously avoid. I could not deal with this right now and decided on a fool proof, tactical plan of hardcore avoidance. I would avoid him, he would avoid me, problem solved... or was it? As I sat there thinking, I could not help but keep on reverting my thoughts back to Grayson as I realised something. The way he was acting was so strange. I mean, it was normal for werewolves, which is why I probably did not even notice until just now just how werewolf- like his behaviour was. Then again, this whole situation was just unheard of.
My thoughts were, however, cut off as I felt a hand touch mine. Immediately I pulled my own hand back towards my chest as the sparks burst with our sudden contact. I then stared up slowly into soft, bright blue eyes. Save me now, Goddess, from my own wolf instincts.
"Can we talk?" It was a whisper as the two oafs next to me were now awake and boredly staring out of the window with long, heavy sighs.
I shook my head no, saying, "There's nothing to talk about. Things like that happen to everyone."
And then I suddenly remembered the night we both met, him crying on the balcony and looking all sad and pathetic.
"Mind telling me what your tears were about last night?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. With this he gulped, nervously tugged at the blond locks along the upper section of his neck, and wordlessly turned around.
That was one point for Mira, and none for Grayson.
After a few more hours of awkward silence, not just between Grayson and I, but between Leroy and Dylan, the bus finally pulled to a stop. With a loud, "Finally," I stretched out my arms, clicked my neck a few times, and then proceeded to push myself up against the bodies which now clustered tightly together. For a werewolf, such close contact with so many bodies was unbearable, given our heightened senses. From the smells, the breathing, the heartbeats, the feeling of skin against my own, everything was absolutely awful. So, when Grayson found himself pushed right up against me, courtesy of the humans who impatiently tried to exit the bus door.
I refused to breathe. I refused to look up into his eyes, and lastly I-
My thoughts were cut off when I glanced up- all accidentally of course- and stared into those deep blue orbs. He was staring down at me this entire time.
"I'm sorry."
It was soft, the way he said it. Soft and delicate and so sincere I had trouble digesting what he said. No one had ever apologised to me. No one had ever cared about how their actions affected me. And now one looked at me with such sincerity as what he did. And so, it was, of course logical of me to perform my next action.
Crack.
And that was the sound of my knuckles collided painfully with the side of his face. His body ended up crashing and colliding with the, now few humans which sent them flying out of the open bus door. Now, at least, two problems were solved.
"You are seriously a little bitch, you know that right?" Leroy mumbled as he pushed passed me , exited the bus and then helped Grayson up. Dylan just shook his head, probably not even finding it worth it to say something to me. I felt a shudder of relief shoot through my body. This was how it was supposed to be. I was nothing but a bad tempered, worthless shewolf. I didn't expect anyone to see me for anything other than that.

Unedited, short and really not my best chapter. But, I did want you all to get a little insight to our little shewolf Mira. She is a boatload of mysteries which I intend to expose all in due time. Also, regarding chapter uploads for this novel, they will be once or twice each week since I need to make time for my other novels as well.
