Ena's POV
I would bet dollars to donuts that if I concentrate my Psionic Inundation blast on the stupid subjugator around my neck the thing will fall the hell off. I was gathering up my strength when Mason started speaking again. This time I found myself almost mesmerized by his voice and the movement of his lips.
Mason's voice was so deep and had the same lilt as my beloved Antonio. His lips moved with each syllable Mason spoke in an exactly the same way. He even poked his tongue out just a tad too far when he used words starting with the letter 'L'. So much about this alien standing before me was reminiscent of my sweet Antonio. I had to wonder if I allowed Masons lips to touch mine if they would taste as sweet or be as warm and soft as Antonio's had been.
When I'd been foolish enough to kiss Mason back in South America before he duped me into being transported onto his space ship I'd been nearly enthralled by how amazingly wonderful his lips felt on mine. For just a second, I'd actually forgotten Antonio and wanted to bury myself and my soul deep with the man that called himself Mason. Even my soul had been captivated by Mason's soul. We were so engrossed in how completely amazing he'd made us feel that we even forgot to wonder why.
It should have been impossible for my heart and soul to desire another being the way I desired Antonio. But I did desire Mason in exactly the same way. It was like we recognized Mason as our soul mate. That however was impossible since Antonio had been my soul mate and he died just over thirty years ago. Somehow though this alien pulls at my heartstrings. Even now, knowing that Mason is some kind blue skinned alien I find myself desiring his touch. I must have taken a step towards Mason since he shifted slightly and beckoned for me to move into his arms.
For just a moment I actually intended to do just that. I tilted my head to the side and forced myself to listen to the words coming out of Mason's sexy full sensual mouth
"Ena honey, I know all of this must be confusing the hell out of you, but... If you just relax and listen I am sure that I can help you understand the truth. You've lived long enough to know that everything isn't always what it seems to be. I know you think you've been captured by aliens or something to that extent but you're wrong. My name is Mason Antonio Geonna and I am your soul mate. I have always been your soul mate. This isn't the first lifetime that I've come to you but it will be the last. I am a water Fae and you are just in an alternative reality. I have crossed over the veil many times during your life cycle. The time before this one I called myself Antonio and you and I blood bonded. Please Ena give me a chance to explain so that we can spend the rest of our time together in peace and pleasure."
I felt Mason's words wash over me like warm rain. My skin tingled in pleasure with each syllable that dropped from his lips. I wanted to cave in and accept the lies that Mason was telling me. I could feel my body swaying to a silent music. It was like he was somehow hypnotizing my heart, body and soul into believing every word he uttered. I could feel my soul relaxing for the first time in months. I knew if I took another step forward Mason would wrap me in his arms and his bewitching spell would be complete.
I would be like the others trapped on this space ship. I would start wearing rose colored glasses that would cloud the truth and allow me to believe that this alien was my Antonio and that he was my soul mate. They wouldn't need chains or a subjugator to control me anymore, my own foolish soul would do that for them. Now, I understood why the others walked around like they were happy. They were all under the same type of enchantment. I knew I was doomed if I didn't do something immediately. I was falling under Mason's spell and once I fell nothing would ever break me free again.
I forced myself to push all thoughts of Mason, his voice and my desire for him from my mind. Then, I pulled every bit of strength I had into my frontal lobes then focused on slamming the most powerful psionic blast I could form into the subjugator. I knew the blast was so powerful even the alien would be able to visually see it as it slammed into the metal that was closed around my neck. I heard Mason shout and was startled by the speed the alien Mason used to pull me into his arms just as the blast slammed into the subjugator.
I knew I made a huge mistake the moment I felt my own Psionic blast reverberate against the subjugator and explode back into me. I felt my psyche splinter apart into a thousand pieces and I knew I most likely caused myself some major brain damage. I blinked rapidly trying to hold myself together as I watched the Alien lean down towards my face. I thought I could hear him speaking but my brain was too scrambled to make any sense of the words. Then I saw a teardrop slip from his eyes just as my conscious brain decided it was time to shut down.
Mason's POV
I should have known that Ena wouldn't give in just because her soul was begging her to. My Ena was far too logical to just go with the flow. Though for just a millisecond I actually allowed myself to be fooled into thinking she was going to allow me to give her a complete explanation. I could feel her soul welcoming me and her body was begging me to take her. I wanted to so badly but I forced myself to hold back. Perhaps if I'd made the first move... No, I knew my Ena. I'd already spent several lifetimes with and without her. I knew Ena would and could be the most difficult and challenging woman to ever walk the earth.
It was impossible to force Ena into doing anything that she didn't want to do. Once she made up her mind changing her beliefs was like moving a mountain. It could be done, but I was going to have to move the dirt one shovel at a time. I took a deep shaky breath and looked into Ena's unconscious pale face. I knew she most likely had just managed to fry her own brain with a massive psionic blast. I shook my head in frustration and gently lifter her completely in my arms.
Ena was so lovely even when she was angry and confused. Ena was the most beautiful woman to have ever been born. Ena was a timeless classic beauty. She was the type of woman that all women wished they could be. Now a days most people would mistake her dark chocolate wavy hair and her deliciously flawless natural cream colored skin as Hispanic. She was however born before that particular race had a name. Still, Ena's body was shaped and curved in all the right places. Her oval shaped face had just the right features in all the right places. Ena was stunning and beautiful. I desperately wanted to bend down and gently skim my lips over her luscious full lips.
Now however wasn't the time to get caught up in my passions. I needed to deal with first things first. Ena didn't desire to be in this jail cell. It was up to me to take responsibility and to make sure she has more comfortable accommodations. I was going to have to appeal to the council and throw myself on their mercy. No matter what, before nightfall, I would face the council as the guilty party. I would convince them Ena was innocent. She'd done nothing but try to defend herself. It was my fault Ena was scared and was forced to take drastic actions. I would be the one to pay the consequences.
