"Yah! wake up, everybody is heading home." I slowly opened my heavy eyes to the unwanted noise of my best friend Hei Ran. "Didn't I tell you not to stay up so late last night?" This time I turned my head over on the desk to look at Hei Ran standing above me.

"Hello to you too." I said with a sarcastic and sleepy smile. "Now if you will excuse me, I'm gonna go back to sleep." I closed my eyes hoping to fall back asleep, but with Hei Ran around that was never possible. I felt my wrist being tugged at, and soon enough I was dragged out of my seat and on the cold hard ground.

"Fine, im up!" Standing up I brushed the dirt off my school uniform and started packing my things up. "Did you forget already?" I looked at Hei Ran as I gathered my belongs into my bag. "Of course I didn't forget." smiling at her as we walked out of the classroom together.

It was that time of month where Hei Ran would spend the night at my house and party till we were out cold. We would play fun games together, sing karaoke, dance to our favorite songs, and talk about our problems. I was always looking forward to this day every month. We didn't have to worry about making the neighbors mad because nobody lived next us, so we could both be loud as we wanted to.

"Tell me you got the snacks for tonight..right?" Hei Ran said looking at me with a worried expression plastered on her small face. I looked at her wide eyed then looked down. "Well, um..that's the only thing I did forget." Hei Ran then playfully hit me in the shoulder and yelled. "Yah! look at you always forgetting things, this is why I have to look out for you!" She grinned. We continued our walk until we reached the convenience store.

We both heard the chime of the bells as we stepped through the doors of the convenience store. As always Hei Ran and I made our way to the ice cream, I would always get the two purple popsicles that were connected together and Hei Ran would always get a single red popsicle. We both laughed at each other realising that we have been doing this for nine years. After our laughing session we both made our way around the store shuffling our feet through each isle looking for some snacks for later tonight.

I grabbed some pretzels, a big bag of chocolate M&M's, and some chips. Hei Ran was in charge of the drinks, she grabbed a couple of soju bottles and sodas and we walked up to the counter ready to pay. Since I was paying, I didn't realise how short on money I was until we reached the counter. I tapped on Hei Ran's shoulder and whispered in her ear.

"Hey, i'm short a couple dollars." I whispered with a worried expression. Hei Ran looked down at the money in my hand then looked back up at me. "Don't worry this is why you have your cute best friend." she winked as she whispered back to me. I already knew what was gonna happen, Hei Ran has this special charm that makes any guy or girl give in to her words, and it has never failed on her.

"All right, that is going to be ₩19603, are you paying with cash or card?" The boy cashier said. Hei Ran and I looked at each other before looking back at the cashier. "Excuse me, but we are short on a couple of dollars could you please let us off this once." Hei Ran said with an apologetic tone that was to cute to resist. The cashier looked at Hei Ran then said "Fine, just this once!" I smiled as I handed the cashier the money and Hei Ran and I couldn't help but giggle quietly.

We were walking up the street side by side eating our half melted popsicles talking about all the times we had when we were little. "Oh, remember the time when we were playing tag and you ran into a tree!" Hei Ran started laughing after bringing an old memory back up. "Yah! that's not funny! It really hurt." I said frowning gently slapping Hei Ran's arm.
