Entering my small cabin of a house. I heard a loud bark, greeting my entrance into the home. Smiling, I placed my coat down, and started lighting the lanterns. "Levi, how are you my love." I smiled at the big dog, who seemed to take up practically half the living room.
He barked, wagging his tail back and forward. I laughed, tying up my hair. I placed some firewood in the stone fireplace, a kettle set inside for some hot water. walking to the kitchen, I got out Levies food and filled up his bowl as well as his water dish.
He trotted to his bowl, practically inhaling the food. He's so over dramatic. I leaned against the wooden counter, watching him go from one place to another before finally picking a spot on the rug.
Levi is quite a big dog. I have know idea what breed he is, I assumed he was supposed to be a hunting dog, I found him last winter out in the cold. Claw marks slashing his body, teeth marks scattered all over him, tufts of hair ripped out.
To be honest, it was a sight that made me question the human race. who would leave their dog out to die? I rushed him to the nearest medic, and with a hefty amount fixed him up. Ever since then he lived happily in my home.
At that time the kettle squealed for my attention, I rushed to it picking it up moving it to the kitchen. I got out a cup and filled it with tea. I removed the left over chicken from the ice box and heated it up in the fireplace.
I ate dinner watching the flames as it licked the air around the fireplace, the room silent except for Levi's heavy breaths. I gave him a piece of my chicken. Then walked to the sink cleaning off my dishes and cleaning up the house a little. I fed the fire more wood and walked down the short hall with only two doors, a bathroom and my bedroom.
I walked into my bedroom sighing, all I wanted to do was sleep and my body felt heavy. Levi trotted in jumping on my bed, that was obviously not big enough for us both. I did have a set of blankets I didn't care about on the floor for him, he rather took a liking to my bed.
I got out my clothes and changed. As I took off my shirt, I noticed the object I found fall out of my shirt. I picked it up looking at the object closer. It was weird this object reminded me of something. Something I couldn't quite place. I shrugged, placing it onto my nightstand and changed.
I was never the shortest girl, always a head taller than others, I took out my hair, brushing back the auburn strands that fell in my face. walking to the bathroom I brushed my teeth and Washed my face, looking up to come meet my reflection
walking back into my room again. I moved Levi off my bed and Plopped down, as soon as I did it was lights out.
I was running through the forest, but it didn't feel like me. It felt like someone else's body was different. I felt taller, the air was warmer. I looked up as the sun was close to setting, for some reason I continued to run. my heart racing and pounding, feeling as though I have been running for a long time. As soon as I slowed down, my body felt relief. I looked behind me and something was chasing me?
"You don't have to do this!" I yelled, whose voice is this, do what, who was doing what? I'm so confused.
A shadowed woman walked out of the forest, a silhouette of a tall woman. "Malisa you were my best friend, I want you to protect the lost." her voice was everywhere, it was like she was in my head. What was lost, nothing was lost. I looked at her, what is she talking about?
The shadowed woman walked closer to me. I backed up as hurried as possible, my back hit the rough bark of a tree behind me. the woman continuing her path toward me.
"Don't worry Malisa, I promise everything will be better." the shadow woman whispered again a pale hand reached toward me lifting a piece of my White hair, wait white? I felt a tear roll down my cheek. My heart was beating so loud I couldn't hear anything else. I know someone was trying to talk.
