Damon's Story

"My life started June 28 1834. my mother's name was Mary Salvatore and my father's name was Guisspie Salvatore." Damon started." I was more of a mama's boy because my father thought that I was too rebellious but my mother never cared. In her mind I was perfect and she loved me unconditionally. It wasn't until Stefan was born that my father started really resenting my existence. I tried everything to gain his love, but he never really cared."
"My father's lack of love didn't affect how much I loved my little brother. I would have done anything to protect him simply because he was my life, my best friend, and most importantly he was my little brother. With Stefan I thought I had all the love that I needed. I had the unconditional love of a mother and a brother, but things don't seem to stay perfect. About a year after Stefan's birth, my mother died from a HIV and it tore my world apart. My father said it was my fault because if it weren't for me being born he wouldn't have gone sleeping around, but he never hated Stefan because he's the Golden Child." Damon continued . "But throughout my life my love for Stefan never changed, he was the last bit of my mother I had left. We stayed best friends throughout our lives and were inseparable until I decided to join the Confederate Army to appease my father."
"After 2 years I decided to come back to visit my family. I didn't plan to stay at first, but the moment I saw Katherine I knew that she was the one I would love for the rest of my life. What I didn't know was that she saw Stefan first, and that was the moment she knew that she would do anything she could to have him. I guess that I was just a temporary accomplishment her and I never knew until last year when I didn't find her in the tomb." Damon said getting angry for ever falling for Katherine. I grabbed his hand to comfort him.
"I was the first one to know about Katherine being a vampire you know besides Emily Bennett. Katherine never had to compel me to fall in love with her I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, but she had compel Stefan. Neither of us knew that we were seeing Katherine behind each others back, and that was what ultimately tore apart our bond."
"It was the summer of 1864 that me and Stefan's human life ended and it was all because we were protecting the girl that we thought we loved. She had gotten captured by my father and John Gilbert along with the other vampires that were in the city. We tried to save her but it didn't work out as planned. Our father didn't even hesitate to kill me then killed Stefan soon after." I remember being told about that day, but I didn't know it went down like that.
"When we woke up we didn't know what was wrong with us but Emily told us that we were in transition to become a vampire. I thought that Katherine had died in the church fire and refused to live because the girl that I love was dead. Now looking back at it I realize that Stefan really wasn't in a wrong, he just wanted to live forever with his brother and mend the ends that Katherine tore apart. I was stupid then and swore to make his life an eternity of misery, but life ended up miserable for the both of us. Well he never got over his blood lust and I never got over Katherine. I searched 145 years for the girl that was one, never in love with me, and two, never in the tomb. From there you already know what's happened in the past couple of years or so you tell me." Damon started skeptically. Then he smirked,"Oh and my favorite color is blue like my eyes. My favorite animal is a crow if you couldn't guess, and I like to drink, break stuff, dance and have crazy vampire sex." I just laughed at him and got up off the ground.
"You wanna go have some fun Salvatore?" I asked.
"Yeah, that conversation was way too depressing."
"Well lets go!" And with that we both vamp sped too the car.
