There may be typos in this story, and some people hate that. If you kindly point them out... That'll be a HUGE help! Thanks!
"Actually," the lime green, and calm blue RainWing snapped, standing taller, "There is one dragon's magic that will still work on you."
The huge NightWing glared at the small RainWing. He could easily crush her, this moment. In a split second. However; his mother, Moon, and Qibli were watching. All of them were traitors, he might as well kill them all at once. It was that easy. He would have laughed if he wasn't furious at this moment. "You're wrong," he told her, yet he couldn't help feel an everlasting anxious tingle on his throat, thinking of who's magic had escaped his spell.
"I'm right!" Kinkajou snapped back, almost immediately. The others seemed frozen in time.
Funny little dragonet, Darkstalker though before scoffing. "Oh really? Whose?" He was confident with himself.
The RainWing's scales rippled into a strange dark red, reminding Darkstalker of dragon blood. "Your own." Those words roared into Darkstalker's ears like waving crashing against the shore over and over again during a hurricane.
He was caught off guard. "What?" Darkstalker choked, he could feel the veins on his neck tense up. "But how- I didn't see-" How did I not see it? W- What did they do to me?
"I know," Kinkajou seemed full of herself. Dangerously confident. Darkstalker almost gasped in horror. "Never saw me coming! Taken down by a ball of fluff! Who's insignificant NOW, frogface!" He realized they were getting taller. No. He was shrinking. He twisted his head to Foeslayer. She was calm, not even a spark of guilt in her eyes.
"You knew!" Darkstalker protested, his heart twisting in pain, just like when Clearsight had forced the moonstone bracelet onto his arm, all those years ago, "You helped her!"
Foeslayer let out a sigh. "Of course I did. What else could I do? Send you to your room? Extra chores for a week? Somehow neither of those seemed particularly apt for this situation," she said softly. Darkstalker remembered the anger he felt when she had gone missing. He had missed her so much, and she back now to end him?
How could she do that! Darkstalker thought, After everything I've done... B- But I'll be powerless! Normal! "But my powers!" He cried, then gasped in horror as his voice was high pitch. He ignored it, "All my magic... Can't I keep any of it? The mind reading? Wait-" he realized his claws were shrinking before his eyes.
Clearsight! Darkstalker thought, Qibli was saying something to him, yet the shrinking NightWing was devastated, stuck in his thoughts. How did I not know? What about Clearsight? My powers... I can't forget Clearsight! Whiteout... I was to bring her after I eventually got Clearsight right...
"You don't raise a mind-reading son without learning a few tricks about how to hide your thoughts," Foeslayer said, snapping Darkstalker out of his own.
The memories of laughing with Whiteout, flying out at sea, smiling at Clearsight, eating together with Clearsight and Fathom; they all were disappearing. "Didn't I help you?" Darkstalker said, suddenly he was forgetting words too. I want to see Clearsight! Let me at least say goodbye! "Didn't I save dragon's, too? I'm not evil.. I'm not..."
Darkstalker knew his time was up. I enchant the ground below me to allow me to speak to Clearsight for one last time... He thought before his thoughts, his powers, everything, got silent completely...
A bright light flashed before Darkstalker's eyes, the dragons around him were gone, the mountain rage, the sky, the ground. Everything.
Suddenly, he was flying....
