She laid there, blood pooling on the grassy ground as her body laid there flat, not turning her head. All the children, those who have known Isabella, all came rushing towards her. The older ones, who have medical experience, tried their best to stop the bleeding. Particularly Ray.

Isabella knew, that it was no use. There was no saving her from death now. This was what she expected after saving Emma from the demon, who was taken away by the government officials. Now the only thing on her mind is that she'll get to see Leslie again. But looking at the children, she can't help but feel like she betrayed them once more by dying, especially her own son.

It was hard but she saw no other way to get her point across, "R-ray..." She spoke in a raspy voice, catching Ray's attention and him decreasing his force on her wound.

Isabella tried to speak further until a mouthful of blood was forced out of her as she coughed it all out of her mouth. Ray tried to put his hands back on her wounds but Isabella proceeds to grab the boy by his arm, making him look at her one more time.

"Ray... I'm sorry..." Ray was taken aback, but let her continue talking.

"I... Don't have much time left... And I regret not being... Able to live on. With the rest of you..." As weak as she is, Isabella made the attempt of cupping Ray's face with her working hand. "But... Before I leave... Can I..."

She began to cough roughly with Ray gasping in disbelief, pulling Isabella close to him with tears falling down his eyes.

This whole scene confused a lot, mostly Emma and Norman, and for good reason. They don't think Ray has that much emotional attachment to Isabella, simply because she led them to their deaths when they were young. But Ray's tears, his muffled sobs, all pointed to the conclusion that he has some sort of special connection with their former caretaker.

Norman observed further. He can definitely hear what Isabella was saying to Ray, but that was no longer the case when Isabella pulled him closer to her, and what appears to be her whispering something to him. Ray pulled away, tears still falling on his face, and Isabella trying her best to wipe them off.

Then he began to sing.

He wasn't singing any lyrics out loud but instead hums a beautiful tune that instantly put all the hearts of everyone around them at ease. Norman had to admit, it was enchanting and the lullaby or tune was incredibly soothing. He looked back at Isabella and Ray. As the raven-haired boy continue to hum the song, Norman saw it.

A heartwarming smile on Isabella's face.

This gave him the thought that Isabella probably has some emotional attachment to the song Ray was humming. He took a quick peek at everyone else, all were either crying, shivering, or just sad. The tune began to break into cries as Ray tried his best to finish singing without a hint of remorse.

When he finally finished singing, Isabella whispered one last thing to him...

Until her hand fell from his cheek, landing on the floor with a wet splat from all the blood surrounding them.

She's dead.

And Ray, in profound loss, cried to his heart's content. He pounded his fist hard on the ground as tears fell from his face and onto Isabella's pale face. The children, now seeing their mother a lifeless body, remembered back when they were with her as the same Mama that they loved and respect. They all cried.

Emma also began to cry because of Isabella's sacrifice, she can feel such pain in her throat from restraining her shouts of sadness. Norman, too, was beginning to shed tears. Not because of his more innocent times with Isabella, but that she left without being there for the kids, that they won't be able to make more happy memories with her.
