description:

in the blink of her eye, her quirk allows her to extend pitch-black limbs of sorts that can phase through her clothes, sprouting from her back, usually in the form of an arm or more, sometimes a pair of wings and sometimes a barrier, stretching up to eight meters diameter which is her's to control at will, her eyes become fully black and if her opponent stares into her eyes for too long as she is using her quirk, they will start to hallucinate, seeing hayami as a monstrous demon similar to the one in her nightmares. her quirk works faster and stronger when she has more energy and stamina and is more awake.

the repercussions are that she has frequent nightmares, average four nights a week, and occasional sleep paralysis. her nightmares consist of a tall slender pitch dark figure, long limbs, and usually faceless but in rare instances, it will show large eyes, looking like full eyeballs, and a toothy grin that extends the width of its head, while in sleep paralysis she sees the same shadow-like demon walk towards her as she is frozen to the bed and as a result, she often has trouble sleeping causing her to stay up and lose sleep. sometimes melatonin isn't enough.

appearance:

hayami has plain straight black hair that reaches a few inches past her shoulder blades which is normally down and has rose-beige skin with simple dark irises, standing around 5'5" or 166 cm. she has a bit more of a slim build, a smaller bust than average though she doesn't mind much about it, quite average looking really.

around her house and the dorms, she wears one of her plain comfy short-sleeved t-shirt that can cover her black shorts, even during cold weather she will wear these.

she is usually seen with a plain t-shirt that is loosely tucked in a pair of denim shorts, accented with a chain hanging from two belt loops on her side with sneakers or combat boots and small accessories like earrings and necklaces.

within u.a; hayami wears the usual sleeveless white button-up shirt with green accents, unbuttoned at the top and half of the time without the signature long red tie, loosely tucked into the school uniform dark green skirt and regular black below the knee-high socks. from time to time she can also be seen with an unbuttoned striped school uniform blazer.

her hero outfit consists of a thin yet durable black backless, short-sleeve hoodie hugging snugly around her torso with black fingerless gloves that extend above her elbow, black cargo shorts that go down to her mid-thighs with white straps on the pockets and through belt loops with the excess hanging off, black over the knee-high socks, and a pair of black ankle boots. her hair is loosely tied back for it to not get in the way of her vision with her hood or not. lastly, donning an adjustable dark-tinted rectangular visor-like sunglasses to cover her eyes while she uses her quirk, just in case someone were to accidentally look. her pockets contain some emergency money to use if she were to need to buy something to eat and some coffee candy to help her stay awake. yes, it's almost fully black just to go with her quirk.

personality:

hayami is somewhat of a homebody. she's a bit of an ambivert who speaks her mind, yet can come off as a bit blunt, reserved, and pensive at first. of course, once more comfortable with her surroundings, she seems more extroverted and quite sociable, often smiling and laughing around others, sometimes a bit loud and goofy and yet most of the time tired. she has developed a friendship with at least half of the class with her outgoing like persona. she is rarely angered but rather more annoyed when provoked, spitting out insults and small threats.

background:

her father, saito hayato, is a manager for her mother, saito umeko, who is an actress and a model who is well known in the u.s; they aren't around the house much and come home during holidays and rare weekends after believing that hayami is mature enough to be home alone when she was fourteen years old, second year of junior high. they text or call at least once a month and when they text, it looks like a full-on letter to show their love while they're gone. hayami does feel a bit more distant with them due to their work and misses them.
