"HURRY UP!"

"WE CAN'T GO ANY FASTER!"

They were going to be late.

After coming back from the ice cream parlour with Naruto, Dumbledore told them that he was going to go straight to Hogwarts on something called 'The Knight Bus'. They would be taking a train from platform nine and three quarters at eleven o'clock sharp with other fellow Hogwarts students the following day.

The day started out as normal as being in a magical wizarding world you never even knew existed can be. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura knew how much Kakashi had a habit for being late and they vowed to never let him make them miss the train. So the three of them awoke at the crack of dawn and made a beeline to their sensei's room, but when they got there, the bed was empty and they found their teacher already sitting on the breakfast table, casually playing with the salt and pepper shaker.

"You're not going anywhere in that." Kakashi told them in a bored tone, gesturing at the three genins, who were still in their pajamas.

"We just thought we would need us to wake you up." Sakura said slowly, as though still processing something in her mind. "Wait a minute! You're earlier than us!"

"Wait a second..." Sasuke said, his voice rising steadily. "You're actually waiting for us!"

"WAITAMINUTE!" Naruto's already big blue eyes widened in alarm. He grabbed both Sasuke and Sakura and backed to the wall, his fierce gaze firmly fixed on Kakashi. "YOU'RE NOT KAKA SENSEI! YOU'RE AN IMPOSTER!"

"Wait- what?" Kakashi asked, rather taken aback.

Both Sakura and Sasuke also seemed to believe this unbelievable accusation.

"Where is he? What have you done to Kaka sensei?" Sakura shouted, warily keeping her distance.

"Shhh! You're going to attract attention! It's a good thing no one here's awake yet!" Kakashi frantically whisper-shouted, his eyes scanning the room. Then his shoulders slumped. "Guys, am I really always that late?"

"What's our new cat-catching record?" Naruto still wasn't convinced.

"twenty-two point two seconds." Kakashi said coolly. "You're getting the hang of it Naruto, a ninja must never let his guard down. But you don't need to be suspicious, I'm real."

Catching the train to Hogwarts must be really important, if Kakashi was willing to get up that early. Everything after that went smoothly, in fact, it was going a little too smoothly. They got dressed in their usual attire( Dumbedore told them to change on the train so that they wouldn't attract 'muggles'.) and were all ready to leave Diagon Alley by eight thirty, pushing big heavy trolleys laden with their books and trunks with their Hogwarts robes in them. Kakashi effortlessly carried his luggage using a storage seal, but made his little genin push their own stuff by themselves, saying that it was part of their 'training'. They would be there by nine, with two more hours to spare.

Then they realized they had forgot to ask Dumbledore how to get to Platform nine and three quarters; it had simply slipped out of their mind that day.

What kind of ninjas were they?

They spent their two hours aimlessly searching through the crowded train station for the said platform. Was this it?Were they about to fail their mission so soon? The unhelpful muggles only gave them weird looks when they asked them for directions, as though they thought they were insane. So, Kakashi summoned Pakkun. He would sniff out something- anything- and hopefully lead them in the right direction. He was now their only hope.

Pakkun saw the urgency in their situation, and immediately got to work, keeping his snout close to the floor.

"HURRY UP!" Pakkun shouted over his shoulder, still not lifting his snout from the floor. If the muggles had heard him, they probably dismissed the thought of a talking dog to be all in their imagination.
