Chapter three- best friend

I opened the door and let Kaylee in.
"Hey I went by Sonic and got you your fav." She said,
She handed me a cotton candy Ice cream with sprinkles.
"Thanks." I said,
"I also got the fault in our stars, Hershey kisses, extra ice cream, and a Taylor Swift playlist ready to go." She said,
"Wow you came prepared." I said,
"Well I had to after all I am your best friend." Kaylee said,
"True and thanks let's go to the living room put in the movie and grub out." I said,
We began watching the fault in our stars. I started to cry when Augustus told Hazel Grace she was beautiful. As. I began to tear up my phone started buzzing.

I never replied after that text. A guy who had only had one phone conversation with me already had a crush on me. I guess it was because he didn't know it was me.
"Who was that?" Kaylee asked,
"Uhm just some guy." I replied,
"As in?"she asked,
"Shh it's my favorite part." I said,
Kaylee looked at me and rolled her eyes. She knew something was up ,but she also knew that I was a fault in our stars fan girl since the first day I ever read it. I tried to play it off as I wanted to watch Augustus and Hazels love story just as mine fell to pieces.
As the thought of Matt and Krista came to mind I reared up. I began to have unstoppable tears.
"Ans are you okay?" Kaylee asked,
"Do I look okay." I said,
My heart began pounding. I took a glance at my phone to see three text from Lucas but not a single one from Matt. How could a complete stranger care so much about me but a person who told me the loved me could care so little.
"You know what I'm done crying over that jerk." I said,
"Good I mean you're more than just a bandgeek as you say. You're a cheerleader, you're smart, pretty, funny, and so much more." Kaylee said,
"Thanks I swear I have no clue what I would do without you." I said,
"Well let's not find out." Kaylee said,
As we saw headlights come up the driveway we took out the movie grabbed our covers and ran upstairs.
We laid there in my bed looking at the celling. It was nothing but silents.
"So who has been texting you?" Kaylee asked,
"Some guy...I tried to call Matt to fuss him out but I had the wrong number and this guy who doesn't even know me started texting me." I replied,
"Wow well maybe you should see were it goes."kaylee said,
"Haha uhm yeah how about no." I said,
I turned over and went to sleep.
