Y/N's POV:

I sat in Gryffindor common room, bawling my eyes out. I had walked into the Three Broomsticks to meet Blaise, my (now ex-) boyfriend, and saw him and Daphne Greengrass snogging, his hand up her skirt and her hand down his pants. I'd walked up to them uncertainly, not knowing what lay in store for me.

I don't know why I did what I did, but I'd gone over there and yelled the pub down at Blaise. Here's how it went:

"B- Blaise?" I stuttered.
"Babe! I-"
"NO! DON'T 'BABE' ME! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?! I WOULD NEVER DO THIS TO YOU! I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU THIS WAY! I'M YOUR GIRLFRIEND! NOT GREENGRASS!" I took a deep breath. "But if that is what you want - for her to be your girlfriend - then that's fine. But tell me, don't just cheat on me. We're through..."
"This is all very sad and all, but can Blaise and I carry on? We sorta had something going on!" Greengrass cut in.
"Yeah- we are kinda in the middle of something..." Blaise agreed. You ran out of the building with tears spilling down your face.

I looked up at the portrait hole as it opened. Harry Potter walked through, running a hand through his hair. He wiped a bit of dinner from his face carelessly. When he saw you, he ran over and engulfed you in a hug that had you falling on your side. Despite your mood you giggled along his laughing. He helped you up.

"What's wrong? Who do I need to kill? I can break bones extremely well too! And I can try to gouge some eyes out- no promises though!" he joked worryingly. You chuckled and wiped your eyes. "But seriously, tell me what's wrong" he added as you sniffled.

"B- Blaise ch- cheated on me..." you burst out into tears. "I- I caught him with Greengrass. And w- when I confronted him, he just asked me to leave!" you continued crying uncontrollably. Harry held you in his arms, shushing you quietly and whispering sweet nothings into your ears. Or it seemed like sweet nothings until,

"I love you, Y/N..." Harry whispered. You turned up to him. "Y/N?... say something..."

You leaned up and captured your lips on his. He immediately reacted by pulling you onto his lap, his hands going straight into your hair. You smiled into the kiss.
