Mark's POV

Me and Tae were in our room and he was helping me get ready for my date with Johnny. He was applying makeup to my face so I don't look so pale.

He was applying just a little bit of blush. "Okay easy on the blush I don't wanna scare him away not that I could"."Please my mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk always use upward strokes" Tae said to me.

"My mom was never really big on makeup tips. I never had a sister or brother" I told him. "Well now you do we're gonna need all the family we can get if we don't pull this off my mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way just ask Snow White" Tae said.

"Are you afraid of her" I asked him. "Sometimes are you afraid of your mom"."I just want her to be proud of me she gets so angry with me when I disappoint her and..... Yeah I know she's my mom so I know she loves me in her own way" I said kinda sad.

"Moving on come see" He took my hand we stood up and he lead me I'm front of the mirror. I looked at the outfit I'm wearing in a little bit of shock. "I know" He said. "I look" I hesitated. "Say it"."Not hideous" I said. "Not even close"

Then we heard some one knock on the door. I walked over to it and opened it to reveal Johnny standing there. "For the first time I understand the difference between pretty and handsome" He said to me.

"I hope you like bikes" He handed me a helmet and I walked out of my room.

Next thing I know I find myself riding on the back of a bike holding onto Johnny going through the woods and I have to say the scenery is beautiful.

After a while we got off the bike and he lead me to this bridge. "Tell me something about yourself that you've never told anyone" Then I started thinking. "Um.... my middle name is Bertha" I told him.

"Bertha"."Yeah" I told him. "Just my mom doing what she does best being really really evil Mark Bertha" I laughed a little.

"Mines Florian" He told me. "Florian"."Yeah" He chuckled. "How princly that's almost worse" I told him. "I mean you know it's better then Bertha"

Now he's leading me through the woods and I have my eyes closed so I'm a little scared. "You good"." Yeah" I said. We then stopped and I felt him go behind me.

"You ready" I nodded. "Open" I then open my eyes to see the most beautiful site ever.

He then lead me down to the picnic. We sat down and started eating and what ever it was, was really yummy. "Is this your first time" He asked me.

"Mmmm..... We don't really date much on the island it's more like gang activity" I told him. "I meant is this your first time eating a jelly donut" I licked my thumb. "Is it bad"

He then cane closer and wiped a little bit of crumbs off my lips. "You can't take me anywhere I guess" I told him. "You know I've done all the talking your turn I really don't know that much about you tell me something"

"Well I'm 16 I'm an only child and I've only lived in one place"."Me too that.... We have so much in common already" He said. I laughed at him. "No trust me we don't"

"and now you're gonna be king"."Yeah" He said kinda sad. "What" I asked him. "The crown doesn't make you a king"."Well it kinda does" I said.

"No it... Your mother is the mistress of evil and I've got the poster parents for goodness but we're not automatically like them we get to choose who we're gonna be and right now I can look into your eyes and O can tell you're not evil I can see it" We just kinda smiled at each other.

"Let's go for a swim" He said. "What right now"."Yeah right now" He said. "I think I'm just gonna stay here and try a strawberry I've literally never tried a strawberry before" I ate one and it was so good. I kept eating them then I saw Johnny on top of a rock.

He waved at me. "Are those little crowns on your shorts" I yelled. "Maybe" He yelled back. He then let out a cry and jumped into the water.

I looked around and I didn't see Johnny anywhere. I got a little scared so I jumped into the water which was a bad idea cause I can't swim. Then Johnny came from underneath me picked me up and carried me back to the little pavilion.

He put me down and I lightly hit him. "You scared me" I told him. "You can't swim" He asked. "No" I answered. "You live on an island"."Yeah with a barrier around it remember" I kinda yelled at him. "And you still tried to save me"

"Yeah and do you thank me no all I get is soaking wet" I said annoyed. "And this fancy rock" He pulled out a shiny rock. I took it and threw it back into the lake.

I stood up and he got out of the water. He put his jacket around me and we continued our date. He sat next to me and looked at me. He started messing with my wet hair a little bit. "Um Mark I told you that I loved you" I just looked at him.

"What about you do you love me" I looked at him with kinda a sad expression on my face. I turned away from him and said. "I don't know what love feels like" I said to him.

He took my chin in his fingers and turned my head so I'm looking at him again. "Maybe I can teach you" He said to me.
