Five

Kimmon excitedly drive home after dropping Copter and securing an agreement with him. The thought of him watching Copter beta test a new game from their company bring him happiness.

"Where have you been?" Tae asked Kimmon when he entered the house.

"The mall" Kimmon answered with a big smile on his face.

"What did you buy? Why do you look so happy?" The older one asked.

"I didn't buy anything. I accompanied Copter to buy his new controller." The smile never leaving his lips.

Tae raised his eyebrow giving Kimmon a questioning look.

"Is that why your happy? Because you were with Copter?"

"Yes! You know, that kid reminds me of myself when I was still young. Also why didn't you told me he's a game beta tester?"

Tae can hear nothing but excitement on Kimmon's voice which raises a lot of questions in his head that he will never have the guts to ask. For now.

"I thought you already know about that since you were already talking to him" Tae said flatly.

"No. I just know now. And you know what? He agreed to let me watch him when he's going to test their new game!"

"He did?" Tae asked with wide eyes.

"Yeah, but please don't tell him that I told you. It's against their company rules."

"There's that but" Tae cut his sentence trying to think better words to describe what he's thinking. Kimmon waits patiently.

"Copter never agreed to anyone watch him beta test." Tae made sure to put emphasis on the word 'never' and looks at Kimmon's eyes. "Even Bas."

Tae observed his cousin's reaction as Kimmon gave him a confused look not knowing what he's trying to imply. "Maybe because Bas is more interested in flowers than games?"

Tae sighed. "Kim. Copter and Bas plays game until late night before. Copter is already a beta tester that time. No matter how Bas persuade Copter to watch his beta testing, he never agreed." Tae explained.

"Maybe I'm special then" Kimmon smirked.

"Kimmon." Tae's voice stern and Kimmon can hear the seriousness on his cousin's voice.

"I've known Copter for years now and he never let anyone enter his life as easy as you did. Just don't do anything that will confuse him." Tae looks at Kimmon intensely.

"I don't know what you're trying to tell me but I'm just being friends with Copter" Kimmon frowns as this discussion is being ridiculous to his liking.

Tae could only hum.

"Why do I feel like you're overprotective over Copter? Does Tee knows this?" Kimmon teased his cousin who only give him a glare.

"Tee babies Copter and Bas more than I do. We've also seen Copter on his worst state which we never want to see again."

Kimmon could feel sincerity and softness on Tae's voice so he choose not to respond anymore and just nods his head.

"Have you eaten dinner?" Tae asked trying to change the subject of their discussion.

"Yes" Kimmon stands up, "I'll be heading to my room now." And went he did.

Kimmon dwells on the conversation he had with Tae earlier. To say his confused is never enough to describe what his feelings right now. Why does his cousin treats him like he's gonna hurt Copter. That was never his intention. He just wants to talk to Copter as they share the same interest. Copter is a nice guy. Just thinking about him getting hurt, makes him agitated as well. He doesn't want the kid to be sad. He loves to look at the smiling face of Copter with those two dimples he have. The way Copter blushes is adorable as Kimmon recalls it and he thinks that if someone who will be loved by Copter someday will be really lucky to see those everyday.

Kimmon smiled thinking of Copter and the kid's future love story with someone unknown and he swears that he will be very supportive of it. He treasure the kid like his own brother.

Kimmon woke up with a smell of food being cooked lingering on his nose. He decided to wash his face before coming downstairs to see Tae preparing breakfast.

"Tee is so lucky" Kimmon said while walking to the table and took his seat.

Tae just scoffed at his cousin and pour him a cup of coffee.

"I'd be out later as Tee and I need to check everything for the last time" Tae said as he took a seat opposite of Kimmon.

"Be careful then." Kimmon took a spoonful of fried rice with omelette and smiled.

"Do you have any plans for today?" Tae asked.

"I don't think so" Kimmon continues to munch on his food.

"Okay." Tae eats his portion of breakfast.

Seconds later, he can sense that Kimmon's eyes are on him. "What is it Kim?" Tae asked.

"P'Tae" Kimmon took a sip of his coffee before he continue, "what do you mean when you told me you saw Copter's worst state before?"

'so it was Copter' Tae thought and released a sigh.

"Copter lost his parents due to an accident before. He shut everyone out and that was the most difficult time as Copter refused to eat everyday, not even wanting to stand up from his bed, completely ignoring his own health and his self. Luckily Bas was eager enough to save Copter from that point of his life." Tae put his spoon and fork down as he lost his appetite just thinking about what Copter has gone through.

Kimmon just looks at his cousin, the forgotten food on the table left untouched since he took a sip of his coffee.

"Little by little Copter become better with the help of Bas. Tee and I also helped Bas to make Copter better." Tae continued. "then suddenly," he stopped and put his index and thumb at the top bridge of his nose, pinching it.

"Copter met someone who promised him the world" Kimmon could see Tae's other hand turns into a fist as he continued talking.

"Copter fell in love with that man as he can see that person's willingness and persistence to get his attention."

"Sorry to cut you but Bas said Copter never had a first date?" Kimmon asked.

"That's because that man is so busy with his business and Copter also doesn't want to go out without Bas before."

"If he's busy with work, how did he got time to persuade Copter?" Kimmon continue to ask.

"I guess that's what you call excuses and bullshit"

"Then, what happened?"

"When Copter was sure he's willing to return that man's feelings, he vanished into thin air leaving Copter with his broken promises" Tae sighed again as he remembers Copter's crying face before.

"Copter cried so much and again, refused to eat for a long time and wouldn't talk to anyone except Bas, Tee and I. Tee had to talk to Copter everyday on how he deserve better, so on and so forth" Tae looked at Kimmon, more like glaring at him.

"I understand now why you're so overprotective over him." Kimmon emptied his cup of coffee.

"I really hope he won't have that slump again" Kimmon said.

"I know it's not my position to let you know this as this is Copter's story to tell but Kim," Tae looked at Kimmon with a stoic expression.

"I'm telling you this as a precaution. I don't want to see Copter in that kind of state ever again."

"I don't know why you think I'm a threat for Copter's well being but I assure you P'Tae, my intentions are clear and I will never hurt Copter in any way"

"Just be true to your words." Tae responded.
