CHAPTER TWO
"Hey, I forgot to tell you. Rory wants us to come over for a dinner tonight. Sookie and Jackson will be there, Loreali, Luke, Rory." Mia stops talking, worried about what Dean would say at her reaction.
"Great. That sounds awesome." Dean says, probably more excited that him and Rory were back to being good on times.
"And Jess." Mia shrugs as she finishes her sentence. Dean's emotions changed from one too one hundred.
"Oh." He says, sitting down. "Oh well." Dean had been working on the whole jealous and clingy thing since the first time him and Rory broke up.
"You know, I really don't think he's that bad of a guy. I mean maybe now that he knows Rory has a boyfriend, he'll be different." Dean looked at her confused. Mia always took a Dean's side in any argument with Rory, his fault or not.
"What's your deal, Mia? You like this guy or something?" He asks, cornering her in the kitchen near the fridge.
"No, you're crazy." Mia rolls her eyes and pushes him off to send a message that it was nothing.
"Hey mom! Dean and I are gonna be at the Gilmores for dinner if you need anything." Mia shouts until Dean cuts her off.
"Make that one of us. I'm not going." Dean shakes his head, storming too his room.
"Come on Dean, don't be like this." Mia says, following him.
"I just need some space." Mia shakes her head as she put her shoes on.
"Fine. Be like this then." She wondered if she should even go if Dean wasn't going. But Mia had many sleepovers at Rory's and had spent a lot of time with just her family. And she was close with Luke. So she made the ultimate choice to go.
"You're acting like a child." Mia shook her head as she put her jacket on. "I'll see you later."
Mia met up with Luke and Jess as she walked to the Gilmore house. "Hey Mia." Luke says and Jess gives her a slight smile. Luke was surprised at the fact that somebody in this town could make Jess smile.
"Hey guys." She says, grasping onto her purse as she stood to the right of Jess, who was standing next to Luke.
"Dean not coming?" Jess asked with a smug grin.
"Nope." Mia shakes her head. "Just me."
They arrive to the Gilmore house, where Loreali lets them in with a happy smile. Jess and Luke go in first, and Loreali stops Mia at the door.
