I walked along the corridor, not knowing exactly where I was, Spencer was nowhere to be seen and I looked around for someone I knew. I clearly wasn't paying attention as I ended up walking into a boy around my age. He turned around immediately and, god, he was beautiful! "O-oh I'm s-sorry, I d-didn't see y-you. Uhm, I-"
The boy laughed, not rudely but gently and he smiled. "Hey, it's okay." He rested a hand on top of my shoulder. "Are you alright?" I blushed slightly and didn't know why I was so embarrassed. Luckily the other guy spoke again, keeping his one hand gently on my shoulder. "I'm Brendon by the way. It's really nice to meet you...erm..."
"Ryan," I finished quietly, and awkwardly lifted my hand for him to shake. After we had done so, I decided to stop being a child and talk to him properly. "So, it's my first day here today, how about you?"
"Oh, I've been here for a couple of months now."
He smiled back and his hand hesitantly moved from my shoulder to my arm and it was oddly comforting. "Parents really hate you that much huh?" I chucked and Brendon laughed along with me. His laugh was so damn perfect I wanted to die.
We spoke for a while, not noticing the minutes tick on by. "Hey Ryan, I think you're actually...really be-""Oh Ryan! There you are! Oh, looks like you have met Urie then." Spencer was finally back.
"Hi Spencer! What's wrong?"
"Ryan, you didn't tell me you were friends with Smith." The boy's hand slowly dropped from its place on my arm and to him side almost limply. I looked at him, confused, but he avoided further eye contact, looking crestfallen. "Ryan, meet the snobbiest know it all with no filter in the whole bloody school." Spencer gestured towards Brendon with his hands. "I didn't even do anything!"
"Oh really Urie? So you definitely didn't call Jon an ugly fucker two months ago and acted like it didn't even happen?"
"Woah! I've told you before that it was a joke and not even a bad insult! Ryan, please just-""No!" I felt Spencer grab my shoulder rather tightly as he shouted, causing Brendon to back away slightly in shock. "Don't listen to him Ryro, he just wants someone to talk to and then talk about the lonely little shit. Come on."
With that he marched away, me in tow. Brendon seemed so nice. But he didn't get along with Spencer and I had known Spencer for....well, since forever really so I had to go with him. If he hated Brendon. I guess I would have to as well.
I snapped out of my flashback and followed the rest of the class into the room for English.
