Tortured Uchiha [CURRENTLY EDITING]

A/N: The first 20+ chapters of Tortured Past is pre-Naruto and the last 20+ chapters will be during Shippuden. I don’t follow the main plot line and I change things around so bare with me and I’m sorry if I’ve made spelling errors and timeline skips that aren’t accurate to the original story line...I’ll fix them up sometime after I edit my Madara Fanfic: The Forgotten Uchiha *deep sigh*. 

I WANT TO MAKE THIS REALLY CLEAR. TP is a separate story from TFU even though the Hika-Hashi-Mada trio is mentioned in this book. If you’ve read TFU then you’ll remember that Hikari wanted her teachings spread throughout for peace, which is exactly why I made Etsuko find her scrolls and synced it in with the plot. I understand that there are heaps of similarities such as the Etsu-Shi-Ita trio and that Etsuko loves Shisui [kinda like the Hikari/Izuna situation] but there are heaps of differences so let me spell them out to you:  

• Etsuko is full Uchiha and there is no Uzumaki lineage.

• Unlike Hikari who has the Eternal Mangekyou, Etsuko loses her sight through the use of Izanami during the massacre. Let me just say this now, Etsuko will not obtain the Eternal Mangekyou in this book. *blocks Etsuko’s punch with Madara’s fan*  

• Shisui died and gave his Mangekyou to Itachi whereas Madara stole Izuna’s. Shisui and Itachi were brothers in bond, Madara and Izuna were brothers in blood. 

• There are similarities with Kuragari turning into a Tengu in the presence of death and Hikari’s Perfect Susanoo is described as a “Perfect Tengu”. Kuragari Tengu is actually the three legged crow of Japanese mythology that was a pet to the Kami Amaterasu [fun fact] and turns into a warrior at her command.

• Hiruzen seals a crow feather into Etsuko’s neck and you may think “omg but Hikari had Shinigami sealed inside of her”. Please keep in mind that it’s [secretly oops] a curse mark but Etsuko doesn’t turn into a humanoid creature, and Hiruzen doesn’t die during the process. 

• THIS IS AN ITACHI LOVE STORY WITH MY OC 

• Etsuko doesn’t have the resilient chakra supply like Hikari, which is why Etsuko relies on Kenjutsu [sword fighting] and hand-to-hand combat. I want my OC to have flaws. 

• Etsuko is a transmigrant [shit spoiler], Naori’s transmigrant [to be specific] since in TFU Hikari talks about her friendship with Naori and that she gave up her sight for her lover Naka through the Izanami/Izanagi. Which is exactly what Etsuko does for Itachi.  

• This is not a cliche fanfic where the OC goes into the Akatsuki and has a fab time bonding with everyone, Etsuko is simply observing Itachi, and she will not become a member even though Tendo Pein offers her a position after Kakuzu and Hidan die. Most of the members are suspicious of Etsuko, especially Kisame.

• Etsuko is comfortable around people that she knows unlike Hikari. I know that Shisui gives Etsuko his Tanto, but unlike Hikari who always keeps both katana from Izuna and Madara with her; Etsuko never mentions Shisui’s Tanto again and it never makes another appearance *Shisui tears up in Takamagahara* 

Okay if I’ve forgotten anything I’ll probably add them in later. So that’s my rant over in case some of you are like “ugh replicating your first book with a new OC”. These books are only linked through Hikari’s scrolls, such as Etsuko learning the exact jutsu left by Hikari. There will be no contact with them in this book since it was mentioned in TFU that Itachi died well before Hikari was found, and as the story goes on you’ll understand why Etsuko is never mentioned. 

Hm, this kinda turned out to be a trivia session with my OCs but anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the first instalment of TP and we’ll continue on to Shippuden. I WILL NOT HAVE A “___YEARS LATER” THING BECAUSE I’M CHANGING THE AGES WHEN I EVENTUALLY EDIT THIS BOOK SO ASSUME THAT ITACHI AND ETSUKO ARE SAY...19...FOUR YEARS OLDER THAN NARUTO. [Which kinda makes sense because I said in the first part Naruto’s almost 11 and in 4 years he’d be 15 which is almost correct...in the battle with Madara it’s his birthday where he’s 16.]
