It was by no means perfect, but the grass was green and the lake was blue. The picnic benches were a bit old looking, but were sturdy enough to hold multiple people's weight.

"Ugh, it's not perfect...but It'll do", whined Paisley as she cut the old couple a bitchy glare.

"Please behave yourself", frowned Ginger. "I don't want to be told off by the ice King and Queen.

"Yoohoo, sexy ladies!", called out Carter in a high pitched mock.

"Hey Carter, hey Mauve", greeted the two girls as they sat down on the bench next to the one Miss Eaton was sitting on, students flocking over to her and gushing.

"Ooh Miss Eaton, let me eaton you", mocked Carter, pretending to be one of the guys who was chatting up the teacher, who seemed strictly professional and uninterested in them.

"Oooh Miss Eaton, please eaton me", laughed the mischievous teen, turning his teacher's last name in to a joke.

"I think you need to stop before she looks over here" growled Ginger. "I swear, you are so immature".

"If she looks over here, Carter will look like he did earlier" teased Mauve, looking at the galaxy haired boy. "Your face was a picture!".

"Oh fuck off Mauve", he growled, blushing red.

"Awww, little Carter is all blushy blushy", taunted Paisley.

Ginger began to laugh, her stomach rumbling a little as Ezra stood up on the bench. "Ok students!", he called out.

"You'll find across from the bench area is a buffet for cold food and hot food. Please help yourselves and eat as much as you like", he said, with a big grin. He knew the cost of the food would come out of his bosses bank accounts. It would serve them right.

"Oh, and please put all litter in the bins provided. If I find any rubbish left behind, I will find the guilty party and make them litter pick for the rest of the trip", added Miss Eaton, "Now go eat and then we will start some fun activities!".

"Hot meat, here I come", drooled Mauve, racing Carter over to the spit roast, Paisley following behind them. Ginger laughed quietly to herself. Her friends were quite entertaining.

"Not fancying a spit roast", she said, making her way over to the cold buffet items. She grabbed a paper plate and piled it with salad, a few mini sandwiches, crisps, vegetable sticks and a small dollop of hummus.

"That's nice and healthy", came an all to familiar tone, making Ginger turn around.

"Oh, Miss Eaton", said Ginger in surprise. "Yes, I like to eat fruits and veggies a lot, so I'm glad it Isn't just junk food".

"I agree. I like a good healthy salad", smiled the teacher, but then it dropped a little, "I'm sorry about the trip not meeting everyone's expectations. I feel awful that you were all disappointed like this".
