She closed the door and pulled out her phone, scrolling through her contacts list. She clicked on the name, 'Rosemary' and pressed dial. It rang a few times, a sweet, yet surprised voice answering on the other end.

"Ginger...what are you doing calling me? Aren't you with a group? Are you ok?".

"I'm ok. I just asked to go out and use the bathroom, but I want to come find you. Where are you?", asked the red head, stopping in the middle of the silent hall.

"I uh...I'm outside in the picnic area", replied the woman on the other end of the line. "I think you should just go to the bathroom and re-join your class. I don't want you to cause a panic for Alyssa".

"No way. I'm coming to help you search. I'm not having you outside alone", said Ginger, sternly.

"Ginger, please-".

The phone hung up, the woman sighing. She loved her fiery girlfriend, but her stubbornness was frustrating at times.

"Hey", called a familiar voice.

"Ginger" sighed Rosemary, crossing her arms, "Why didn't you listen to me?".

"Because a girl has gone missing Rose. I'm not having you out here alone looking for her", replied Ginger, looking around to check no one was about as she walked up to the taller woman and wrapped her arms around her waist, looking up in to her emerald eyes as always. The adoration they had for one another was hard to match.

"Ginger", blushed the woman, backing up a bit and bumping in to a bench. "You can't do that out here".

"No one's around", smirked the red head, kissing her lovers lips and then taking her hands in her own. "Now, where have you searched?".

The dark haired beauty sighed. "I searched her room, down by the lake, the pool and even the nature reserve...but nothing. I'm really worried. What do I tell her parents? What if we don't find her Ginger, I-".

"Shhh, calm down", cooed the red head, gently placing her finger on her girlfriend's soft, rose petal lips. "It's going to be ok. We'll find her, ok".

"It's easier said then done", cried Rosemary, tears spilling down her cheeks; Ginger gently wiping them away and embracing her softly, trying to make the pain and fear go away.

"I promise you, we won't give up", said the younger woman with a voice like silk. "So, we need to check the forest, the hiking trail and then the rest of the rooms in the resort, yes?".

"Yes", sniffled Rosemary wiping the rest of the salty beads off of her rosy red cheeks. "But it's not safe to search the forest or the hiking trail without a large group. I-I contacted the park rangers who are currently gathering together a search party, but they said they won't get here till tomorrow morning".

"Then in that case we'll have to search the safe areas and wait until tomorrow to search the rest", said Ginger, facing the cold, harsh reality.
