Recap from the previous installment:   Matthew & Jocelyn shared a blissful wedding night, then enjoyed the early Christmas Eve worship service the following day.  And finding that their Vicar Nelson Marshall and Matthew's former Therapist are not yet spoken for, invite them for Christmas day supper at midday.  And among the presents given today will be surprises for each newly married couple of Matthew & Jocelyn and Michael & Madge.

"Lost and Found", Chapter 22 (PG-13): Christmas Day Gifts of Love

Christmas morning dawns brightly in London.  The snow that fell overnight blankets the streets and homes with a dusting of Christmas Spirit.  Michael & Madge bring breakfast over to Jocelyn & Matthew's flat before the ladies—and men—get ready to host their mid day Christmas supper with family and friends.  After getting their turkey going in the oven, the ladies join the men at the breakfast table.

Matthew:  "So, Madge and Michael, we had a lovely double wedding [two days ago].  Don't you think?"  He says hugging Jocelyn sitting next to him at the table.

Madge:  "Just perfect."  Madge [(2) right] says beaming with pride at finally being a bride and now a newlywed--a wife.

Michael:  "Madge dear, you looked beautiful."  Michael kisses her forehead tenderly.

Matthew:  "As did my Jocelyn."  Matthew kisses Jocelyn's cheek.

Jocelyn:  "And, I'm sure that Madge will agree with me that you men looked very handsome."  Madge nods.  "Oh, did Matthew tell you that we'll have two more for Christmas supper today?"  Madge and Michael shake their heads no.

Matthew:  "Yes, Vicar Nelson and Marcia Glass will be joining us for our midday Chrismas supper."

Madge:  "Well now.  Do we think that they might make a good match?  Shall we give them a little boost?" Madge says with a twinkle in her eye.

Jocelyn:  "Now, let's not put them under the spotlight just yet as a couple.  Let them find their way first."  Jocelyn smiles impishly at Madge.

Michael:  "Just as long as it doesn't take them twenty yearrrs to get arrround to marrrying like Madge and I herrre."  Michael [(3) right]teases with a sparkle in his eyes and they all laugh.

After breakfast, the women set about chopping and stirring the ingredients for the side dishes before putting them on to bake—with Jocelyn sitting down for her part of the work due to her being more tired with her pregnancy.  And the men expand the dining table, add chairs, and then finish wrapping the gifts for under the tree.

***

After a scrumptious Christmas midday Supper, the Drakes, the Fergusons, and Vicar Nelson and Marcia settle into chairs and the couch surrounding the gas fireplace in Matthew and Jocelyn's home.  It is time for sharing Christmas presents.  Vicar Nelson and Marcia had already brought wine and bread that everyone enjoyed with the meal.  But they also bring something special for each wedding couple.
