"What Riley speed things up here. I told you I'll tell you when the times right!" I said a little upset. But Riley looked at Farkle and I. "Farkle. What happened with you and Maya yesterday at lunch." She said. Farkle looked side by side then answered her. "Riley it was about what I wear. People think I'm a dork and luckily Maya and Lucas were there to protect me from them."
"Farkle don't let those people let you down. I love your sense of style and everything about you. That's why your my friend. Why didn't you want to tell me in the first place." Riley made him feel better "Riley, because then you would do this. You would make a big deal out of it and I'm fine." Riley looked at me then back to Farkle. "Ok then if you don't want a big deal I won't give you one." Then she walked back to class but Farkle and I stayed. "She's gonna give a big deal right Maya?" Farkle asked. "Oh please did you just meet Riley!" We both laughed then went to class. I'm still wondering what Riley was up to that day at lunch. It had to be something good. I'll see soon. The bell rang and It was lunch. Riley grabbed me, Farkle ,and Lucas and took us to the auditorium. The lights were shut in there the. When they went on everyone screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYA." I was breathless. "Oh my goodness you guys are awsome. This was what you were up to at lunch. Oh my goodness I forgot about my birthday!" "Maya you know me to well to think I'm doing something that what go against you." Riley said and we laughed. Then Lucas came up to me and told me "A cowboy girl." "Yes Wiesel." I joked "happy birthday. Pleasure being your punching dummy!" He slid his hat up and down then winked and walked away. There were about fifty people in here including Mr.Matthews and janitor Harley. Riley stepped onto the stage and grabbed the mic. "I would like to make a short announcment everyone. People in this school are being cruel to others because of the way they look, or talk, or what they wear. And that's not fine with me. Especially the fact that a close friend of mine is going through this just because of what he wears. So I want everyone to think of something that people would bully you for. Then when your done you can come and bully anyone. Happy birthday Maya! And thank you." The day ended in a quite surprising way. But I'm happy it did end like this.
