Next Morning

I arrive at school and go to our normal spot in front of the school doors.
"Where's Zoey?" I asked Rose.
Her mouth opened to speak but then her eyes widened and she grabbed me inside the school "We're gonna be late"
We enter the classroom. I take my seat and Rose took hers beside me. Zoey entered the classroom with Jaden right behind her. She had a bitchy look on her face as she took her seat behind me.
"Sir" I raise my hand "I need a new seat"
"Why?" He asked
I slowly turn my head to look at Zoey before turning back to the teacher "It smells like a back stabbing whore over here" I plugged my nose "it's not good for my skin"
Mr Adams cleared his throat and quickly looked around the room for another seat. "There you go, right beside Jaden."
I grab my stuff and shoot Zoey a look as I take my seat beside Jaden in the back of the corner.
"So what's going on between you and Zoey?" I asked Jaden. He shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. "So you haven't slept with her?"
He finally looked at me "No"
Class ended and my body was drained. School was the last place I want to be.
I snuck out the doors during passing period and ran to my car. I drove off and went home.
"What are you doing?" Mark asked me as I walked through the front doors. "Aren't you supposed to be at school?"
"I didn't feel like being there. I'm ahead anyways" I stated.
He nodded and shrugged his shoulders "Get ready for training"
I go upstairs and into my closet. I put my hair into braids and put on a black Nike sports bra with a matching jacket and matching spandex.
I joined Mark in the basement. I put on the gloves and he put on his set of gloves.
"So why didn't you wanna stay at school?" He asked as he dodged my hits.
"Can we not talk about it?" I threw another punch.
"Why? It's perfect trained inside focus. How focused can you be while speaking and fighting?"
"I had an argument with Zoey and she said something that's been bugging me and Im sure Rose know what she means but she won't tell me" He threw a punch and hit me directly in my face. "Ow!"
"Stay focused"
I roll my eyes and undo my gloves "I can't train. Not like this"
Mark reached for me "Come on Hope, you don't have a choice."
"This is my life. If I want to stop for a day I fucking can." I threw down the gloves and walked out the basement and to my room.

Friday

"I hope everyone finished their projects. I expect them on my desk by the end of class today. No late turn in will be accepted."
I turn to Jaden who had his head turned down to his phone that was hidden under his desk "Why are you ignoring me?"
"I'm not" he answered "I've been busy." He turned towards me and put his hand on my thigh "You're coming tonight, right?"
I nodded my head yes. "What time?"
"Starts at 8 ends whenever I decide it does"
Class ended. Jaden and me walked side by side to our next class while Zoey and Rose followed behind us. I'd turn back and see Zoey giving me the side eye but I would just shake it off and turn back to Jaden with a smile on my face.
"See you at the party?" Rose said as we reached our cars in the parking lot
"Yeah, pick you guys up?" I asked.
"No, we're gonna ride separately. Wouldn't wanna get stuck there when you decide to ditch us for Jaden" she playfully rolled her eyes.
Jaden runs up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. He lays a soft kiss on my neck causing me to turn and face him.
"You scared me" I laughed
He shrugged his shoulders and smiled "Sorry Sunshine. I just wanted to say bye"
"Bye Jaden." I lay a kiss on his lips "See you tonight"
He returns the kiss and said bye. He gets into his car and drives off.
