Red Velvet

Felicity's POV

This morning my wolf was more on edge than she ever had been. The feeling came as quick as it left. Stupid wolf.

Today I decided to make red velvet cake for me and Pink's sleepover tonight. She said she had something planned for me but I had a feeling it was a party. It's always a party.

I needed the ingredients first so I snuck out the house and ran (for once) into the pack houses kitchen. An amazing smell raced into my nostrils tempting me with each molecule to find the source of the delight. I did not have time for that. I grabbed the things I needed and ran back home, throwing everything on the island. For once I was going to make this cake right. I had tried so many times before and unfortunately failed.

Once my batter was in the oven I brought my phone out to call Pink so I could try find out the plans for tonight.

"hey Pink, so for tonight do you think we should get a cab back or a car?"

"City we're wolves, we'll run. If you're trying to get information out of me then it's not going to happen. It's a surprise for a reason. " she replied with attitude.

"You're so mean. Just tell me." I whined

"Suck it City." she said while hanging up.

What a b word.

The smell of cake filled my nose and I grinned running to the oven. It had actually worked, that's when I knew today was going to be a good day. Even my wolf agreed with me. Usually we don't get along but she seemed to be extra happy today.

I creamed it in the frosting and wrote 'PINKCITY' on the top of it. Me and Pink have called ourselves that since we were four thinking it was so cool.

The doorbell rang and I sprinted to it smelling my mum from the kitchen.

"you're back, I missed you so much."I said hugging her

"my joy, how have you been"

"great, pink city is back tonight" I said grinning

"you two never get tired do you?" she said while laughing.

I shook my head and followed her into the living room. I always thought this room looked strange because it's old yet a high definition television sat in the middle of it.

"Today we got a call from our neighbouring packs Alpha. They seem to want to meet as apparently we have something of theirs. He can never speak normally, always in riddles. What could one of our pack members have stolen that made him actually bother to call us?" my mother says heatedly.

"maybe one of the workers took something accidentally?" I said trying to help

"no, none of our workers have been over to help them in a while. He refused to say anything after that. He thinks he's cool being mysterious and dark like that." she said slightly calming down

"I mean they are the dark moon pack for a reason mum." I said laughing slightly.

she laughed too.

"you cannot go out tonight, Alpha Xavier comes tonight and he's not really friendly. I know you love meeting new people but he's not a person to be friends with." she said warning me

I nodded. My mother was usually right so for once I would stay away from the pack house.

Later that night Pink came over smiling widely. Too widely. I gave her a suspicious look and set up our things in the living room.

"soooo, do you want to know the surprise now." she said shaking me.

"yes yes yes yes!"

"my dad told me a load of ice cream had been delivered to the pack house because one of the pups got a hold of their mothers cell phone." she said bouncing

"we have to go, it will taste great with the cake I made." I said sliding on shoes

she looked at me with bright eyes which showed there was something else.

"what is it? you look funny" I said warily

"that alpha is coming tonight so it's going to be A SECRET PINKCITY MISSION!" she exclaimed throwing a mask at me.

Oh. No. My mum would kill me if she found out I disobeyed her. I did it once before and the disappointment etched on her face was enough to make me cry.

I flung my shoes of my feet and threw myself onto the couch.

"I almost forgot, now i'm definitely not going." I said

"you're so annoying, you were so ready to go before I told you the other thing. For once break the rules with me please. Who knows when we'll find our mates and then we'll be taken away from each other." she said sadly.

I hated this girl.

We raced through the forrest reaching the pack house in record time.

Once we entered the kitchen I could smell the multiple flavours of ice cream coming from the freezer. So that's what that smell was this morning.

We made our way to the freezer clinging onto ourselves due to the drop in temperature.

"see this is so cool, is it not?" Pink said hitting my arm. She knew her hits hurt.

"yeah yeah whatever, grab what you want and lets go. I'm not ready to get caught." I said in a hushed tone signalling for her to be quiet.

she grabbed chocolate chip ice cream and a vanilla for me while I held the freezer door open.

once done we grabbed each others hand and crouching down slowly made our way through the kitchen reaching the door.

That's when we heard it. The booming authoritative voice that shook the house.

"Ahh. She's here now." a dark voice said

Nope. I was not about to get my ass in trouble because of ice cream. I snatched Pink's arm and ran as fast as I could back into the cottage. my heart racing and my legs burning.

After a while we looked at each other and burst out laughing.

We enjoyed our cake and ice cream while watching barbie. For once I had the old Pink back.

That was until she tried to suggest we go to Logans party tonight. The looks I gave her shut her up though.

Right before I fell asleep I heard a knock on the door. I wasn't about to get eaten by a rogue on my own, so I kicked Pink waking her up and pointing at the door.

We creeped towards the door before screaming and flinging it open. Dropping our makeshift weapons we looked at my mother curiously.

"Felicity. You have to come to the pack house now." she said with tears in her eyes.

"What why?" I said confused

"It appears as though Xavier has found what he was looking for and he refuses to leave till he gets it." she said, voice croaking.

"mum now you're speaking in riddles, remember only he does that."I said trying to cheer her up.

"it's you Felicity. It's you."

yo guys, I'm horrible at keeping to my stories and continuing but I promise to actually work on this one. this corona thing has given me loads of free time so now I can write stories.

I hope you liked this. we get to meet our babes in the next chapter , super excited.
