Chapter Nine.

Fireworks bursted into the sky as cheering started to erupt from the people in the stadium. The day has finally arrived, the Football Frontier Tournament is about to begin.

"Finally the Football Frontier Tournament is about to begin. Today we are here for the opening ceremony where all of the teams that have made it to the finals are about to be sworn in."

The first team was Eisei Academy. They were new to the tournament but have surprisingly made it to the finals with their top scorer in the district preliminaries being Kira Hiroto. The screen lit up to show a recent interview.

(Stadium Monitor: Eisei Academy)

"Eisei Academy has the highest scoring percentage so far, will you be aiming for it in the finals as well?"

"Of course. Honestly we've gotten pretty lucky so far. I know we're still newbies here but we'll do our best no matter what." Kiyama Tatsuya, the red-headed captain of the said team answered calmly.

"You're the top scorer of the district preliminaries Kira-san, what will we look forward to seeing?"

The camera moved at was focused on a boy with grey hair and highlights who gave out a cocky grin. "That's right I'm the top scorer and you wanna know why? Cause I'm the God Strik-"

"Now entering, we have Zeus Junior High, last years finalists. We look forward to their game this year as well."

"Next is Hokkaido's most dominant team, Hakuren Junior High. They have improved significantly since last year and have made it to the nationals."

(Stadium Monitor: Hakuren Junior High).

"All of us get excited from just hearing the word nationals. We're going to give it our all when we got up against the most powerful teams of the nation." Hakuren Junior High's captain, Fubuki Shirou stated with a chill voice. (A/N:Ha! Get it? Anyone? Okay I'll stop now).

"We now have last year's champions Raimon Junior High entering the stadium. They're the reigning champions however this year is a completely new set of players. How far we'll they be able to go? We'll find out soon."

(Stadium Monitor: Raimon Junior High).

"W-we w-will try n-not to disgrace Raimon's good name." The captain of the said team, Michinari Tatsumi spoke nervously, shaking from nervousness.

"Captain you're too nervous." Mansaku Yuuichiro came into the view of the camera but once he realized he did, he immediately stepped back.

"For a long time, we have all dreamed for this tournament. Now that we're here, we wanna go for the win." Said Inamori Asuto, totally determined.

"Next out is the team ranked number one. They are the favourite, the new team to beat, Seishou Academy!"

(Stadium Monitor: Seishou Academy).

"I was told you only play in specific games Haizaki, is that right?"

However the male ace striker, who only had a frown plastered on his face with his arms crossed, scoffed. "You know what? I'm outta here."

"W-wait Haizaki!"

But he just left.

"U-uh well then, it looks like the next group of players have entered the stadium. Oh look there folks, Outei Tsukinomiya is here. So far they have conquered all their matches perfectly. Infact, the haven't lost a point. No other team has been able to score a goal on them yet. They are also seen as a favourite along with Seishou Academy."
