AVAS POV
i picked up my phone and sighed of frustration. i don't need a bodyguard i can fight my own battles. so i went to paytons contact and dialed his number. it rung once and he picked up.

"hey angel miss me already?" he joked
"omg payton are you for real?! you got me a body guard" i said saying the last part quietly
"angel it's for your protection" he said with a sigh
"payton you've seen me fight i can handle it in my own" i said
"i'm not arguing with you. you will have a bodyguard and that's final" he demanded with stern in his voice
"fine payton" i said hanging up

i sighed and slammed my phone down on his desk and heard cracking of the screen. i flipped it over and yup it was broken.

great i have a bodyguard i don't want and i need a new phone.. perfect!

i was feeling on edge and his bourbon always fixes it. so i went over to his glass table and poured a glass. i drank the glass of bourbon in minutes and then put the glass back. i walked back to his desk and sat down and i figured his meeting was gonna take a while so i was bored.

i then saw his laptop on the desk and grabbed it. i opened it and there was a password entry to unlock it. i guessed 2 times and they were wrong. i then thought for a bit and typed in 'angel' and it worked. i smiled knowing i was his password and then went and got on netflix. i then started watching liv and maddie.

hey don't judge it's a good show!

after watching 7 episodes of liv and maddie the door opened. my eyes immediately shot up and saw amber coming in. i have no idea why she was but it doesn't hurt to ask.

"what are you doing here amber?" i said a little annoyed
"well i'm looking for mr. moormeier i need to discuss things with him" she said being respectful
"well payton is in a meeting right now so i'll have him call you when he comes back" i said sweetly
"ok thank you.. oh and also i just wanted to apologize for how i was to you earlier i shouldn't have disrespected you" she said apologetically
"it's alright amber and i'm sorry as well and you may leave now" i smiled
"thank you mrs. moormeier" she nodded and left

well okay then...

after that she left and closed the door and i sighed. i was kinda hungry since it was now 10:30 and we left at 4:00. i then wondered if don knew so i asked.

"dom is there a kitchen around here?" i asked politely
"no mrs. moormeier there isn't i'm sorry" he said
"no it's okay but i'm starving so i'm going to leave and come back for food" i said getting up
and grabbing my bag
"tell payton i went to get food if he comes back please" i said before i left
"yes mrs. moomeier" he said

and with that i left and i went walking through the building and i heard payton. it was the meeting room and he was talking business so i just left. i went outside and told the valley man to fetch my car. after about 5 minutes he came back with my car. i checked if anything was scratched or something and it wasn't.

"good thing nothing happened or your head would have been on the line" i said with no emotion

he looked at me with fear and i chuckled. i got in the car and set my bag in the seat next to me and closed the door. i drove off and went to the nearest chick-fil- a and ordered my food. i got my food and drink and left the drive thru. i then went back to the building and the valley took my car.

"what i said still applies" i stated
"y-yes mrs. moormeier" he said scared
"thanks you're a peach!" i smiled

i walked back into the building with my purse and food in hand. i walked through the building back to paytons office and opened the door. when i did i greeted dom and turned facing forward.

when i looked i saw payton sitting at his desk. he was staring at me with a look i couldn't recognize. i just sighed deeply and walked to his desk. i sat my bag on a shelf behind his desk and food down on his desk. i looked at him and sat down and crossed my arms.

"how was the meeting payton" i say sweetly
"why did you leave this office?" she said with stern
i looked at dom with a 'leave' look and he nodded and left the room
"i was hungry payton so i just went down the street and got food.. as you can see" i retorted
"me nor dom were there who knows what could have happened" he said worried
"payton i'm fine i'm here now and with you.. it's okay" i said cupping his face and he puts his hands around my wrists softly
"okay i'm just glad you were safe" he said

i didn't respond i just kissed him. it was a long passionate kiss and turned into a little make out and we pulled away. i then smiled at him and grabbed my food. i ate it as he was reading something in his notepad. i was curious but just ignored it and continues eating.

"i cant believe that out of this whole building and all the rooms in it that you do t have a kitchen" i said a bit mad
"no we do" he said still looking at his notepad
"dom said you don't" i said confused
"i know i told him to" he said looking at me and smirked
"you asshole" i mumble
"what was that?" he asked knowing what i said

i just stayed silent and ate my waffle friend while smirking. i then finished my food after 10 minutes and took a sip of my drink. i was looking at payton and he was studying his notepad still. i was still curious o i just asked him.

"what are you reading that is taking you over 30 minutes?" i asked sipping my drink
"mafia things" he said still reading it
"what kind of mafia things?" he said
he put it down and looked at me "nothing that concerns you" he said and put the notepad in his desk
"oh by the way amber was looking for you earlier. she needed to discuss things with you or whatever" i said confused
"oh ok" he said picking up his phone and i assumed called her
"come to my office" he said and hung up which made me giggle

not even 2 minutes and she showed up. i just sat there spaced out as they talk about missions and training new people and blah blah blah. after 25 minutes she left and payton got up and said we are leaving. i got excited then grabbed my bag and drink and we left.

we left his office and walked around the building and went outside. as soon as the valley guys saw me he went and fetched the car. after 4 minutes he came back and i checked the car and it had a small dent on the front. i was raging.

"WHY THE HELL IS THERE A FUCKING DENT ON THE HOOD?!!!" i yelled at the guy
"i'm sorry mrs. moormeier it was there when i got the car cause i checked" he said quickly

i walked over to him and punched him right in the face and he was knocked out. i then walked back to the drivers side and got in. payton did as well and looked at me with a smirk. i started the car and drive off.
