Getting out of the car I was greeted by Teresa, who prefers Terry, "Hannah you've grown into such a nice young lady. To think it has only been a year since I last saw you!" I was gathered in a bone-crushing hug, then passed to Steve, who hugged me more gently. He then greeted me with a,"Hello, Hannah," and kissed the top of my head. Sadly, I can't stay mad at them. They have always been my second parents.
"Hello Steve, Terry," I said keeping a forced smile on my face. Trying to hide what I feel every year, the deep hatred towards people who I trusted all too much during my childhood. Now I looked at them all to differently, my thoughts only conflicting, not able to decide what to say. So I keep my head down and mouth shut.
After catching up over breakfast, after getting chewed out by my parents because I already ate and didn't get any food, Terry made the suggestion we head out to the boat.
I had lain out on the edge of the front of the boat tanning and I could hear them talking. Of course they were talking about him... They were also talking about Ben and how he has helped a lot because he has pretty much replaced Jimmy. He really hasn't but speaking of Ben... The news of my breakup reached my parents because of Ben. John ended up harassing him because he thought it was Ben's fault and Ben couldn't reach me because my phone was off so he called my parents. So they let me have my space.
After my skin started to hurt I went over asked my mom to help me put on lotion but she was busy with who knows what so Terry came over and helped me, she waved me back over to where I had been laying out.
"I am glad you finally broke up with him, I never liked him when you guys where little. Stubborn child he was. Big headed too." I smiled only Teresa would think that.
"Ya he has been a bit much lately." I wrapped my arms around myself, "If you know what I mean."
"Oh that's all men," Terry's laughter sounded around us, "and if you don't like it show by damaging their diamonds. So have you done your ritual?"
I frowned at my feet,"Not yet. I have to also write to Ben cause he knows all about it so its going to be really hard this year. Ben reminds me of Jimmy so much, but I think that's because Ben's really the only person that know's me as well as Jimmy did."
I felt a finger hook under my chin and bring my eyes up to meet Terry's, "Hun did you ever think Jimmy sent you Ben you know as a saving grace? To tell you find someone who makes you happy? Hun its time to forget him and grow up." I love Terry but that was it.
I just snapped, "YOU THINK I SHOULD JUST FORGET? HOW COULD I FORGET SOMEONE WHO MEANT THE WORLD TO ME! HOW COULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT WOULD BE IN ANY WAY APPROPRIATE? I HAVE LET HIM GO BUT NEVER WILL I EVER FORGET JIM I THINK OUT OF ALL PEOPLE YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT. OR DID YOU FORGET HOW CLOSE JIM AND I WERE OR HOW CLOSE YOU AND I WERE? YOU PROBABLY CAN'T REMEMBER BECAUSE YOU WERE SO "DEPRESSED" AND DRINKING WHILE I HAD TO GO TO SCHOOL AND FACE ALL THE PITY LOOKS I GOT FROM EVERYONE! SOMEONE EVEN ASKED ME HOW YOU WERE, THINKING YOU WERE MY MOM! AND I LAUGHED IN THEIR FACE WHEN THEY SAID THAT. I AM DONE WITH YOU PEOPLE!"
With that I dove in the water, as I surfaced I heard shrieks of my name being called as I turned to tell them to shut up, all I saw was the turquoise of a speed boat coming at me. I can't really say I felt the impact, but I more so felt the wind blowing past me as I somehow got thrown into the air and the sting of my body contacting with the surface of the water after hitting the side of another boat. I would say my body hurt but that wouldn't be true. I was in that state of pain where it hurts so much you are put into shock and you can't feel anything. I couldn't move and water slowly started lapping over me and I sank lower and lower into oblivion. Not even feeling the jellyfish stings I was obtaining for I was already gone. It was very weird I was somehow simultaneously watching my body float down to the bottom of the ocean like a feather and watching everyone above the water freaking out and screaming at each other waiting for the lifeguards to get there. But it wasn't long considering it was like 40 yards away.
"Where is the girl," the lifeguard asked. They all pointed to the water. "Really?" he asked in disbelief. They all nodded. He shook his head and jumped in. He was quite a nice looking guy shaved hair, and little birthmark on his neck, smallish tattoos on his arms, and he was quite fit. And I looked like a pale and red potato in his arms as he got me on the lifeboat and onto a gurney. He radioed for and emergency evacuation for this area of the beach so that when we got to shore there would be easier access to the ambulance. As much as I would have liked to stay on the outside watching I felt this horrid pain in my chest and everything went dark. I tried screaming but it was no use. I had no control over my body. So I gave up.
!!!!!!@@!!!!!
Wow! Long time sorry! I got distracted by my other book! Lifeguard is Liam Payne! :)
