CHAPTER 13

Y/N'S POV
-Time skip four days later-

We are now on our lunch break. And Hansung told me that the program has finally paid us. So now I'm heading to the club's room in order to discuss what are we going to do with the money.

While walking, I don't pay attention where am I stepping and I bump with someone by mistake. Then I realize who she is and I panic...

-Y/N: Y-Yeji?! What are you doing here?!
-Yeji: Hey there Y/N (smiles) I'm here because Chaer is looking for Daenam to ask him about you... How the hell did you accept to join a TV program?! That's not exactly staying from shadows...
-Y/N: I had my reasons... They have paid us a big amount of money (smiles) We'll be able to do a lot of stuff for Chaeryeong...
-Yeji: Y/N, you need to end with this soon... You can't keep Chaer like that, just tell her that you are Shadow. You can keep with the fan base later... But end with the mystery already...
-Y/N: I can't do that, you know that I just can't do that...
-Yeji: (sighs) You are distracting her, at least, if you don't want to reveal your identity... Reveal your feelings for her...
-Y/N: What?! (embarrassed)
-Yeji: If she gets a boyfriend, she'll stop thinking about Shadow eventually...
-Y/N: But I can't do that neither... (looks down)
-Yeji: You are a coward...

CHAERYEONG'S POV
I'm walking around the college looking for that boy, when suddenly I spot a familiar girl. I know her face... But where have I seen her before?

-Chaeryeong: Excuse me, do I know you? (smiles)
-Jane: (surprised) Chaeryeong-ssi...
-Chaeryeong: I know you, right? (smiles)
-Jane: Uh... Maybe?
-Chaeryeong: (spots her identification) You are Jane, the photographer of that day... (smiles) I didn't know that you also assisted this college! What a coincidence...
-Jane: Y-Yeah... I guess... (smiles)
-Chaeryeong: Tell me, why did Shadow attend that program?
-Jane: Well, he has his reasons... Uhm...

DAENAM'S POV
We are currently heading to the club's room when suddenly, we spot Y/N talking with none other than Yeji. Yeji is at our college! What do I do?! I have never meet them... Wait, why is she here?

I turn around to spot Hansung pulling Joonhae, apparently he has spotted Chaeryeong. Wait, Chaeryeong is here too?! Does that mean that ITZY is here?! Including Lia?!

Gosh, I would like to look for her... But Jane is talking with Chaeryeong and Yeji is talking with Y/N. There's the risk of them discovering the club's room... We must avoid ITZY.

-Joonhae: Let me go, please... The love of my life is right in front of us!
-Daenam: You can't go. First of all, they could find our club... And secondly, she's talking with Jane and you could hurt her. And as long as I remember, you promised not to hurt her...
-Joonhae: Daenam, we are talking about Chaeryeong... I can't resist her. (serious)
-Daenam: We can't. I'll avoid looking for Lia as well... Please, let's just walk away and hide from them...
-Joonhae: You are really stupid (sighs)
-Hansung: It's all in order to protect the club Joonhae-ssi...

And like that, we agreed to walk away from them. We need to hide. We'll get away of the club's room as much as possible. That's how we end up at the rooftop.

Y/N'S POV
I'm talking with Yeji, when suddenly I receive a message from Daenam. They are looking for them, so the fact that he decided to hide is the best option.

-Y/N: He's hiding at the rooftop with more members... I need to find Jane and send her there to hide as well... Sorry Yeji, I need to leave! (starts running)

I look around the campus until I spot Jane talking with another girl. I rush towards them and regret my decision the moment I recognise the girl she's talking to.

-Jane: Oppa (smiles)
-Chaeryeong: Y/N... (surprised) This is your college?
-Y/N: Hi... (smiles) And yeah, you didn't know? I guess I never told you...
-Jane: (receives a message from Joonhae) W-Well, I guess that I'll be going... I have something to do... (smiles and bows)
-Y/N: What are you doing here?
-Chaeryeong: The boy who appeared along Shadow at the TV program, studies here. I thought that I could ask him for Shadow... (chuckles) Instead, I bumped with a member from the fan base, like Jane-ssi... And well, I'm happy to see you... You haven't contacted me in a while...
-Y/N: I-I've been busy with some exams... Sorry...
-Chaeryeong: It's okay (smiles) I'm an idol with a really busy schedule, but you are the one who has no time...
-Y/N: Are you pissed?
-Chaeryeong: No, I'm tired... Shadow makes me happy without even facing me directly, and you keep on giving me headaches... (sighs) Guess that now that you are a man you are much complicated...
-Y/N: I'm sorry... I don't know when should I write you anyway...
-Chaeryeong: You can write me whenever you want, idiot!
-Y/N: Why? That would be troublesome-
-Chaeryeong: It would be okay because it would be you... (looks down) Y/N, you know what? You are still important to me although you ignore me, the minimum thing you do, lights me up...
-Y/N: (blushes) W-Why are you suddenly saying something like that?
-Chaeryeong: (grabs your cheek) You are still my best friend! Of course I want to talk with you all the time!
-Y/N: (sighs) Best friend... I-
-Chaeryeong: Can we go back to how we were in the past?
-Y/N: We can't...
-Chaeryeong: Why not? (pouts)
-Y/N: Because I'm a man and you are a woman now... We shouldn't be that close...
-Chaeryeong: What are you saying?
-Y/N: Look, we have changed... It would be a tense friendship. Eventually one of us-
-Chaeryeong: "One of us"?
-Y/N: Forget it... Sorry, I need to go back with my friends. I mean, the other ones... (smiles and leaves)

Gosh, I almost mess up everything... What was I going to say anyway? "Eventually one of us will fall for the other"? She could have misunderstood it as a confession...

CHAERYEONG'S POV
What's wrong with him? Why doesn't he want to be like when we were kids? For a moment, I thought that he was about to confess something big... I was nervous.

What if Y/N confessed one day? What would I say? Would I actually accept his feelings? I mean, he's Y/N.... The Y/N I've grown up with. My Y/N...

-Chaeryeong: I think I like him... (sighs and turns around)
-Ryujin: What? (smirks) You are finally admiting it, huh?
-Chaeryeong: W-What? You don't know what I was talking about... (embarrassed)
-Lia: That boy is no where to be found... We should give up and return to the dorm already...
-Yuna: Yeah, but at least, Chaer found Y/N... (chuckles) He's handsome close up...
-Chaeryeong:...
-Ryujin: (laughs) Your ears are turning red... Guess you really like that boy. Its okay, you have still time to make him fall for you... You still have the dating ban...
-Yeji: Girls! How was it? I've seen you with Y/N...
-Chaeryeong: Agh! Why must it all be about him? What, is it because I had a crush on him when we were kids?
-Yuna: Correction, you still have a crush on him... (smirks)
-Yeji: (sighs) Chaer, listen to me carefully. Forget about Shadow and focus on Y/N... He's real and you can contact him, Shadow is just a mysterious character...

Forget about Shadow to focus on Y/N? Should I actually do that? Maybe I would be happier if I stopped with this nonsense... I mean, what would I do if I ever discovered Shadow? I'll focus on taking  Y/N back to me...
