(Akaashi’s POV)

I lead (L/N) to the lunchroom, a small smile on my lips. I found it nice when she went to me immediately after class was over.

“Kou!” (L/N) calls out to her friend as soon he’s in sight. Catching up to him, the two of them fall into a conversation.

“Did you bring a lunch from home?” Bokuto asks.

“No, I’m getting food from school! Oh my gosh Kou you have no idea how bad the school food in America was! Everything was like, either mushy, or frozen solid. It feels great to be back home,” she sighs.

After (L/N) gets her food she sits down with me, Bokuto and Konoha. The three of them start talking about something to do with dogs and Kuroo’s laugh. I have no idea how those two topics are related but whatever.

Bokuto suddenly turns to me, “Hey Akaashi would you rather have Kuroo’s laugh or hair?”

“Laugh, it’s like an orchestra,” I say sarcastically.

(Meanwhile, In Nekoma)

“I feel like someone’s making fun of me,” Kuroo says, touching his hair.

“Well there sure is a lot to make fun of,” Kenma replies, not looking up from his game.

“Aren’t you supposed to be my boyfriend?” Kuroo crosses his arms, looking down at the shorter boy.

“You haven’t actually asked me out yet. At the moment we’re just friends with benefits. That’s all,” he says, walking away.

“Hey! Kenma get back here so I can ask you out!!”

Looking down, (L/N) picks up her phone and checks the text message. Her eyes widen as she stares at her phone.

“Wha- how- I? Kou look at this,” she gives the phone to him and he has the same reaction, then he shakes his head,

“But you moved back here so you’re fine right? How is he supposed to get your address?” He hands the phone back to her.

“He won’t, it’s not like anyone in America knows where I live around here,” she shrugs, pocketing her phone.

“Who was that?” Konoha asks.

“Long story. But to be short about it, an asshole,” she shoves some more food into her mouth.

I frown a bit, staring at my food. I don’t like the idea of someone hurting her, even though I only met her yesterday. She doesn’t seem too upset though… maybe she is upset, but just hides it. Sighing, I rub my forehead.

“What’s wrong ‘Kaashi? Headache?” (L/N) tilts her head at me.

“Ahh- just thinking about some stuff,” I avert my eyes.

“Mhmay,” she nods, but I can feel her eyes watch me for the rest of lunch.

(Your POV)

“Kou, do you understand this problem?” I poke Koutarou with my pencil to get his attention.

“Uhhh- probably not, but let me see,” he comes over, leaning over my worksheet, “Yeah, nope. It makes zero sense,” he shakes his head.

“But you’re a third year! You’ve done all this stuff already!” I groan, rolling over on his bed.

“That doesn’t mean I understood any of it! Akaashi was the one who helped me pass!” He protests.
