Leah's Perspective

Like Ivan said, he accompanied me to the lost and found station with Ashton. I decided not to bring anything up from the events yesterday unless they're the first ones to talk about it. I'd rather avoid any conflicts that may happen between us.

"What are you guys going to do at the lost and found?" Ashton asked after checking the time on his watch.

"I picked up a keychain yesterday." I said.

"Right... About yesterday." He eyed me. I slowly looked away then moved to Ivan's side so he'll be in between me and Ashton. "Hey! Don't avoi-"

"Ashton~" This is definitely the worst day for me. The ones who approached Ashton are the ones that threw the soccer ball at me.

"Hello. You are?" Ashton asked in a friendly manner. I, on the other hand, slowly fled the area with Ivan.

"Are you sure we should leave him?" Ivan asked while he looked back at Ashton.

"Giving them some time to talk would be good." That's not really my reason...

"How would that do him good? He hates it." He said. "In fact, he'll do anything, except quitting soccer, just to avoid any of those girls." He pointed behind him. We're already far from them, but I got what he meant.

"Hmm? How come?" I guess being popular has it's downsides.

"He just hates it." He shrugged. "I mean, even I'd hate it if my privacy gets..." He stopped speaking. I looked at him before turning my head at the direction he's looking at.

That's the girl from yesterday. I was about to call out to her when she walked faster, passing by us in the process.

"Never interact with her." Ivan said before walking ahead. I glanced at the keychain in my hand before following him.

"May I ask...why?" I asked slowly raising my eyes to look at him. His eyes remained looking ahead. Some time passed before he sighed.

"It's not my story to tell." He said then looked at me. He grinned before taking my hand. "Come on! The lost and found station is just around the corner."

Not his story to tell...? Could it be Ashton's?

I wonder if Leon will be hanging out with his friends again... I was about to stand up when Ashton blocked my way. He had a scary smile on his face while his eyes glared at me.

"You've been avoiding me." Uh oh... Why is he even curious about yesterday?! I didn't answer and tried to walk pass him. Obviously, it didn't work.

"My bro-"

"Stop using your brother as an excuse." He flicked my forehead. When he did, I suddenly remembered the time Seth flicked me. Are boys into flicking girls now?

"What's going on here?" Ivan asked while he slung his bag over his shoulder.

"He's scaring me." I said while looking away from Ashton.

"She's hiding something." Ashton said. Ivan looked at both of us, back and forth, before shaking his head.

"And here I thought you two are mature enough." Almost instantly, me and Ashton glared at him.

"You sure got some nerve saying that." Ashton said before rolling his eyes.

"Says the person who got mad when someone stole their candy." I laughed silently when I remembered the time we went to the park and a kid ran past us, snatching Ivan's candy in the process.

"Hey! That kid was a jerk!" Ivan frowned.

Ashton took in a deep breath before shaking his head. "I'm going to find out this secret of yours one way or another." He told me before walking out of the room.

"Is the secret that big?" Ivan asked me, but his eyes remained on the door.

"I don't even have one." I stated. I mean, I don't even know the girl's name.

"Maybe it's just one of Ash's dramatic moments." He shrugged. He was about to speak again when his phone vibrated. He read the message before saying, "I gotta go. Irish just got out of school. See you tomorrow." He waved at me then walked out.

Sighing, I took my bag then left the classroom. I wonder if the girl got her keychain.

"You."

Turning around, I saw the same girl I talked to yesterday. I thought about running away considering the fact that Ivan warned me earlier, but since I was taking too much time thinking about it, she's already in front of me.

"Did you tell Ashton?" She asked. Shaking my head, my eyes landed on the keychain hanging from her sling bag. She did get it.

"It really is yours." I said gesturing at the accessory dangling from her bag.

"Yes." She looked at it before looking back at me. "I wanted to thank you for finding it." It must be important to her.

"No problem." This conversation is taking too long. "I'll get go-"

"I'm Cassidy Chase." She introduced herself. It seems like she noticed my hesitation because her lips pursed into a thin line. "Ivan must've warned you."

I remained silent.

"Don't worry. I don't plan on hurting anyone." She looked down on the field from the window. "I just want to repent for what I've done." Repent?

"For what?" I asked.

She stared at me as if she's questioning my question. Smiling, she said, "You'll know soon. For now, I want to befriend you." This is unexpected. "I promise you I have no hidden intentions."

This will definitely create conflict with Ashton and Ivan. Still, I can't really bluntly decline her offer of friendship.

"I'll have to think about it." I smiled nervously. Hopefully she gets what I'm trying to do.

"Then I'll wait. Friendship takes time so let's hangout this coming Saturday." She said. I didn't even get to say anything about it because she left after saying that.

Great... Now, I'm sure Ashton will get even more suspicious. Oh well...

Taking my phone from my pocket, I dialled Leon's number. He didn't answer so I decided to wait at the parking lot.

It wasn't easy getting there because I nearly bumped into the girls that chased me yesterday. The worst part is they're standing at the path that leads to the parking lot.

Groaning, I sat on the pavement and began writing on the dirt using a stick while waiting for them to leave. It took a while, but they did. They were talking about a lot of stuff. Why near the parking lot? There's a cafe!

"What are you doing?" I looked up to see Leon raising an eyebrow at me.

"Waiting." I answered before dropping the stick.

"I gave you an extra key for the car." He said as we both walked towards his car.

"I left it at home." No I didn't. I just can't tell him that I was chased...or that the girls that chased me were near the parking lot.

"Seriously?" He looked at me before shaking his head. "Don't leave it next time." He unlocked the car and I immediately went in.

He asked about how my day was and all that on our way home. It was funny because he didn't like me having no female friends which led him to lecturing me about how male brains work. Sigh...
