Hiding

After dropping Jimin off at his home, Jungkook didn't know whether he should drive home or make the little mile seem and feel like it took more than five minutes. His original plan was to get home before you, but now he felt like avoiding it.

Avoiding the subject of what he just heard from his father's mouth. You didn't know anything, but it was enough for him to know. He felt like he couldn't face you after that. He was afraid he could break in front of you.

He was afraid you'd find out.

He knew you'd eventually, but he didn't want it to be this way.

You were so happy. You were graduating soon, and we thought he had a whole life in our hands. You didn't have to worry about anything anymore.

You finally had come out of that little bubble of yours to the world, not being afraid of any crap or step you'd hear. You were able to drop the kids at the kindergarten without any sort of worry. You were able to go to school without worrying.

How would your end collapse now?

Especially when the whole deal might put himself in danger, too. It wasn't going to be easy he knew for sure. But he also had to think about many scenarios that might occur while doing so.

He had to make sure the police wouldn't find out. That would mean the end of him, and he could end up in prison with his father. Not to mention all his friends could, too if they end up helping him. For God's sake, Jimin is getting married. He couldn't take that joy out of him.

He found himself back home, your car wasn't here yet so he assumed you were still in town with Momo. He knew you two wouldn't just get brunch and leave. Of course, you'd go shopping.

Jungkook got out of his car and locked it. He wandered inside the house, which was still dark and quiet as he left. He mentally reminded himself of getting the kids later from their grandparents.

Jungkook sat down on the couch and leaned his forearms to his knees and hand on his hands. His mind was a mess and he didn't know what to do or say. He could see Jimin's expression once he told him about it.

It wasn't the usual, the cheerful, and happy smile he had. It was cold, it didn't have emotion, as if he couldn't even recognize his friend. The last time he saw that face, was when they were still working to his father, taking the lives of innocent and not that innocent people.

He shivered.

An hour had passed when he came home. He hasn't moved the spot where he sat. He heard a car pull over and the front door open. He could hear your faint cheerful greeting from the hallway.

''Jungkook?'' he heard. ''Where are you?''

Jungkook didn't have time to answer you when your head popped to the living room seeing him sitting on the couch.

''What are you sitting here in the darkness? Have you been there all day?'' You asked as you carried, what he assumed, were shopping bags to the kitchen.

''Ah no, I have had some calls just business.'' He said nervously, trying to make up for his weird behavior.

''I got something for Misuk,'' you said and showed a beautiful purple dress that had flowers on it in front of Jungkook's face. ''I thought it'd be perfect for her birthday party next week, what do you think?''
