Three days later...
Lauren is watching a comedy series on her laptop inside the living room of her apartment.
At the same time, a luxury car pulled to a stop in front of her apartment. The person who climbed out of the car was the man she had encountered two days ago. He walked up to the front door and knocked.
Hearing her cackle cheerfully... 'She's laughing? Well... you won't be laughing for long after I'm done with you.' The mused in contempt and knocked again.
Hearing the loud and insistent knocking on her door, "I'm coming. I'm coming!" Lauren answered her tone slightly irritated as she got up to open it.
The moment Lauren opened the door, she was completely flabbergasted, seeing the man whose window she had shattered days ago, standing right in front of her as their eyes met.
With all that's happened, she never took into account how handsome he was as she gazed at his face, endowed with a perfectly carved facial features and a masculine body in a perfectly fitted suit. If he was to take part in a contest, he would surely surpass his competitors. She sighed soothingly and thought, 'So handsome! Ah! What am I thinking?' She shook her head dispelling the thoughts that swam in her head, bringing herself back to reality, looking at him.
"We meet again, Miss. Lau-ren I-ko-jie." The man said raising an eyebrow with a smirk, kicking the door with his right foot, making his way in, like it was the most casual thing to do.
What the hell!?
Lauren's mind went blank. Her expression quickly switched from that of being mesmerized to that of being petrified. She closed the door and turned; still overwhelmed, as her eyes followed him, watching him saunter into the living room of her little apartment examining the place, and then finally plopped down on the sofa resting his leg on the other looking at her.
Seeing the complex look of surprise and disbelief on her face, he smirked whilst staring at her.
"Are you just going to stand there?" His cold voice snapped at her, bringing her back to reality.
She looked to him as he beckoned her to sit down. Lauren slowly walked toward the other sofa across the room, and settled down slowly feeling the atmosphere suddenly becoming tense.
The man's silent stare carried on long enough for discomfort to settle within her.
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
The man however only tilted his head to the right maintaining his silent stare.
"Surprised right? I'm guessing you have a question to ask."
"H... how did you know where I live?" She asked her voice a little unstable.
"I did a little background check on you."
"You investigated me? How could you...?"
"How dare you talk back at me?" The man hissed with an annoyed expression.
"..."
Lauren kept quiet as he glared at her, clicking his tongue in annoyance.
"Looks like I'll have to set you straight... and teach you some manners."
She watched him stretch out his hand towards her laptop looking at the paused scene.
"The big bang theory... you watch this kind of boring show?"
"It's not boring but fun." Lauren refuted in defense.
"Don't talk back at me!"
"..."
